They were standard on the 72 custom. Could be ordered as an option from 71-72. Not sure if 70s could be. 

My 1971 402 auto "Barn Find" has the wide belt mouldings along with quite a few other options. 

Not very common but not rare either.

I have a 1972 Monte Carlo that has a chrome strip on the top edge of each door.  I would like to know if anyone else has a Monte with this same chrome strip and if this was only on special edition Monte's.

[Parking brake parts for 1972 Monte]

Can anyone tell me what parts I need to connect the parking brake cables on a 1972 Monte?  I have the cable that connects to the cables coming from the rear brakes and also the cable that connects to the parking brake pedal.  I need the parts that connect those two cables together in the middle.

[IGN Fuse]

Can anyone tell me where the "ign" fuse is in a 72 Monte? I checked under the dash, but I didn't see anything labeled "ign".

[Starting Problems on my 72 Monte]

I did something really stupid - I cross connected the battery cables. When I turned the key nothing happened - when I got out of the car I noticed puffs of smoke coming from under the car. I reconnected the cables the correct way and now I have nothing! What did I do? I'm thinking I burnt up the fuse link on the solenoid on the starter, but I am not sure. HELP
