Steve, I sent you an email.

Good to see your giving the old girl some loving Steve, its what she needed. Glad that you have her now. Triple Blue, nice combo
-
Willie, my understanding is that the L on the body tag on a Kansas car indicated Big Block, but not necessarily an SS. Is that what you are finding on the other site.

Welcome Joe, very nice 72 you have. Love the driveway seal coat, lol

Superb attention to detail Joe, car is looking awesome!!

I have used Gardner on 4 different Monte restorations and the fit is perfect. Might be a little more expensive, but you know what your going to get. A perfect factory reproduction with zero hassles

For me I have to stick with the 1971 Monte Carlo SS for first choice. After owing a 1970 402 4 spd car it was great but it does have some disadvantages, for instance that BB in our western meet cruises was great on the highway but uphills and down hills became troublesome and then up an incline on a stop with others behind you is more grief than it was worth (For Me) as to not roll back on start up. There are other reasons but it was 50 /50 for me. Now that I have the 71ss automatic no issues at all.
Darren
I had my 1971 350 4 speed (no power steering) at the Western Meet in Grass valley, CA. The cruise had lots of hills. Mark was behind me during the cruise, I had to tell him to stay way back at the stop signs that are on a incline.😅

Watched some of the Royal Albert Hall show on TV. Amazing guitar player!!!
He was on an episode of AmeriCarna with Ray Evernham. They built Joe a car, he gave to his parents as a gift. He then played a solo in Rick Hendrick's car museum. Cool stuff

Travel safe everyone!! Sounds like perfect weather

Cruising the Bay in Big Fork, Montana.
Smaller show, around 400 cars. Friday night gathering and BBQ at local car museum with live bands etc. Saturday cruise is excellent, a complete loop around Flathead Lake, with stops at wineries etc. Sunday is the car show. Loved this show for all the reasons Matt mentioned. Its on the Sept long weekend. The hotel we stayed at was a lot like the Rosedale at the peach show.
Great scenery, cruised through the Glacier National Park.
Cruise to the top of the "going to the Sun" road is a must. This road is only open in the summer and not for the faint of heart.
Liked it so much we are booked in again for this year.
I am happy to go Penticton again, but also would like to try some different shows, my 2 cents, well its Canadian money so more like 1 cent worth. lol

All Canadian built SS documentation says the same thing, yet only a few had the dual sport mirror. This Monte is a one owner never painted original. Never had the pass side sport mirror
