  1. I got it all installed. Spacer and all. Runs great. Now gonna have to figure out how to get the breather on without it messing with the throttle. I'm not sure if I have enough clearance to raise the breather up with a spacer. It's always something lol
  2. Ok thanks everyone. I bought the 600 today. Will I need to buy the adaptor?
  3. I've got a stock 350. I've been told to get the 600 cfm and then been told to get the 500 cfm. I have a 500 cfm on a corvette with a 327 and it runs great. Which should I get for the Monte?
  4. I already replaced the expansion valve. That's what I thought at first too. But it didn't fix mine
  5. I just converted my 72 from r12 to 134a. Vacuumed it and all. It will blow cool but not cold. Is it nessesary to replace the poa? If so where can I get the one I need? Thanks
  6. Ok I'll check them out. Thanks
  7. I need to get a set of wire looms to keep the wires off the manifold. Also want it to look neat. Any suggestion on what I need to get? There are so many styles
  8. Just wanted to update. I took apart the relay. Even after cleaning the contacts the inside part was not transferring to the prong that the wire hooked on to. So I drilled out the rivet and put a small but and bolt thru. So then it started making contact. Put it all back together and it started working great. So thanks yet again for the help
  9. Thanks for the help everyone. Dan I will try that this weekend. I was hoping to not have to spend $50 on a relay lol. I'll let u know if it works. I bet your right and all I need to do is clean the contacts. Thanks again Steve
  10. Ok found it. The housing itself is grounded. The front stud on it is hooked to constant power. The green wire goes to the horn. But when the wire that goes to the horn button on the steering wheel is plugged in, it has power until the button is pressed in. But the green wire never has power on it. No matter what. When you press the button you can hear it clicking. Does that mean that the relay is bad?
  11. Ok my next question. What does the relay look like? Is it attached to the steering column? I can't tell where the clicking is coming from
  12. I tested the green wire that was at the front of the car that had been cut. There was no power to this wire either way. With the horn pressed or not. When I press the horn I can hear the relay clicking.
  13. Mine has been removed. And the only wire that's even close by is a green wire that's been cut off around the headlight on the drivers side. Is there a chance that's the wire? I'll test it when I get home from work
  14. Ok thanks. I'll check there. There is a clicking under the dash when I hit the button. I just figured that was the relay
  15. I know this is a stupid question, but where is the horn located on a 72? I can't find it anywhere. I can push the horn button and hear the relay click under the dash but the horn won't blow. I also can't see where the horn use to be if someone has removed it.
  16. The new tach got it working. Thanks for the help guys
  17. I really appreciate y'all's help. I ordered a new tach. Hopefully get it in a cpl days
  18. Never mind. It's hooked up right. I was wrong. The brown wire is going to negative. I got too excited lol
  19. I just now realized that the brown wire is tied to another wire and on the positive side on the coil. I thought the brown wire goes to the negative side?
  20. I agree. I hate to spend money I don't have to lol
  21. It just stays at zero. Never moves. And no I didn't touch the tach. I just put on the new board.
  22. Yes all 12 wires are intact and the other gauges work. I did check that call fuse and it's ok and I did have the battery disconnected. Everything besides the tach works. But those 3 prongs on the back of the tach doesn't have any wires attached to them. I don't think they should tho. I think it's all done thru the circuit board isn't it?
