Thanks for the replies. Darren, One of the dashes I have is from a factory a/c car the other is not. The Glove box door mounting screws come through the firewall side of these holes. I'm beginning to wonder if this is where the dash was gripped while the moulding process was performed. I was fairly confident that no emblem was here, but I wanted to be sure. If anyone has the chance, have a look at your Monte in this area to see if yours has this. Its easiest to see using a flashlight and viewing it from ~45 degree angle as opposed to straight on. I apologize if I missed this topic in the threads somewhere, (I looked and looked but didn't see it). I noticed something odd while restoring my 70 dash, and it appears that below the glovebox there may have been a rectangular emblem. In the pics Ive attached, the outline/indent can be seen running horizontally, covering the blovebox attachment screw holes on the cabin side of the dash. Cant find a picture of this emblem anywhere, and I'm thinking I may be searching for a part that doesn't exist? By the way both of my 70 dashes have this same rectangular outline/indent in exactly the same place, so I'm confident that this was done to all of them. Any ideas?
