  1. what happens if the hose that is supposed to connect to the filter is plugged? Is that a return line or a vent line?
  2. Miles on trans are unknown, Is it cheaper to have it rebuilt or buy a rebuilt one already?
  3. I was told that it could also be a sticking spring in the governor or a defective vacuum modulator, anybody have these problems before?
  4. I have a 70 Monte Carlo with a sb400 and a th350 trans in it, the trans does not shift into 3rd gear at all other than that the trans works fine, reverse-ok, 1st & 2nd gear-ok, does not bang into gear at all. I double checked the kickdown cable and it seems to be ok, i adjusted according to the book, I also double checked the vacuum line for leaks and its ok. I recently did a filter and fluid service on the trans also and the fluid level is right on, I do not know how the trans was working before as I just bought the car with no intake & carb on the engine and I just got it running. Any help would be appreciated, thanks
  5. Hello, i have a 402 big block with a turbo 400 trans and the trans will not engage. I just finished installing a rebuilt tilt column and do not know if the neutral safety switch can be causing this, it starts in park only not neutral, the shift linkage IS connected to the column? I also removed the TCS system from my car since it was missing most of the parts, in doing this i removed the TCS relay/solonoid that is attached to the wire harness gutter on the firewall, could this be the problem? The trans was working normally before i did this work, so i'm wondering what the problem is, could i have the neutral safety wires connnected wrong? Any help would be appreciated.....
