  1. How is the under side of the cover made? I had some M/T cast covers that had dippers that hit the rocker arms. One thing you could do is check the the over all height of your valve train by laying the gasket on the head and then use a straight edge across the gasket and measure up to the rocker arm and then repeat on the valve cover. I'm sure you swap the new covers from side to side and got the same issue (if not you could try and swap them or even turn the cover around).

  2. Not to sound like an [censored] Brandon but I would forgo the drop springs if you are going to use the air bags in the springs. I have poly bushings in the front of my 70 hotchkis springs with KYB shocks front and back. Car rode nice and smooth on a rough road even with the rear control arm bushing being shoot. I recently put UMI tubular arms on the rear with their rear sway bar but  haven't drive the car since the upgrade last year. My 72 has tubular front control arm with coil overs. The coil overs is the ideal way to go as you can change out the spring rate and the rebound of the shocks.

  3. The trunk is getting one step closer on getting done. Went with a stand off bowtie instead cutting out the bowtie. Thinking 1/4" foam on the panels and maybe 3/8" on the bowtie to stand out a little more. 13876362_1232184263483211_70234998841078

  4. The only other item to think about is intake style. With Vortec heads you have to switch over to an intake with 8 hold down points. And also the center bolt down valve covers. There used to be Vortec heads on the market that took either the older style intake or the newer Vortech style and you could run the older style valve covers.

  5. Had items come in this week for the 72 and got around to putting in one of the items. Brought a trunk panel kit to dress up the trunk and finish off the fuel cell. 13876629_1226505104051127_31470288320576 Now I have to come up with a way to finish the panels, going to add 1/4" foam on the panels to close up the gaps and either vinyl or something of carbon fiber cloth. Will dress up the back panel either with a bowtie cut out and a piece of plexiglass with a light behind it to work as a trunk light or a raise bowtie.
