  1. I installed the very same fuse block you listed, as far as powering the fans as someone mentioned above you would not power the fans from it, that would come directly from the battery with a fuse and would run off a relay...I installed an override switch on my console but again that power source was from the battery.

The fuse block was more than adequate for fuel pump, electric cutouts, my gearvendors overdrive, aftermarket radio, etc...

  2. Does your crate 502 have the provisions for a mechanical pump? I know on my crate 502 there were none so I had no choice but to go electric. Been so long I do not remember the original pump...but doesn't it have an inlet, an outlet to the carb, and the third one was a return to the tank?

  3. Well, my Monte has been sitting in my trailer since last year when I brought it home from Carlisle... yesterday I finally started it up and pulled it out.

Went to the local car cruise near me and it was so crowded I just parked the car far away and walked around. I see a 71 so I head over and there is Greg Blasco (Capri's husband) talking to the car owner. Then I run into my girlfriend's friends and hung around them. Their 18 year old son has a early 90's Camaro and it was cool to see how much interest he has in cars. There is still hope for the youth.

  4. I put a ZZ502ci GM crate motor in my Monte roughly 17 years ago. Mine had no provision more a mechanical pump. Mine came with a short water pump, no problem I just used my original long style and everything bolted right up.

  5. I also want to point out if you install a drop base like I did you do not have to use the top plate that came with it, I installed a filtered K&N top on mine now with that original Moroso drop base. I even have a 6" filter on it now but have a hood scoop.

  6. My last post of my mug mentions it was over 3 years well here I am updating it again  and yes it is another 3 years. Same girlfriend Christine.

  7. Original post was deleted by accident so a new one is started. Repost your wheel and tire combo here so we can have the list again of what fits our cars.

List wheel size with back spacing, tire size, any quarter panel trimming needed, spacers if used, airshocks if needed, spring spacers, wheel tub modifications, etc...
Also add pictures so we can get see how they look. 😎

    Example:

15x7"wheels with 4" of back spacing front.
15x8" wheels with 4 1/2" of back spacing rear.
    255/60/15 front tires.
    265/60/15 rear tires.

  8. Pretty cool.

Your niece's hair matches her car.

We used to have the Autrama but they changed it to The Power Piston Show which is coming this weekend here, I definitely will be going. The show here is so large now (which is great) you have a hard time seeing everything if you don't spend hours and hours there.

Larry, Don't even get me started on Property Brothers.  For guys that are supposed to be so knowledgeable...... I would never let them touch my property.  I could count on one hand the number of times the have not had to come back to the owners and say "that wall we wanted to remove, to open things up, is a load bearing wall so we will have to install a special a special beam to support that weight at an additional cost of $$$$$$$$ (aka big bucks).

Come on guys, isn't that something you would have checked before suggesting removing a wall.

Far worse was Holmes on Homes...want a new toilet installed in the basement? You will have a new roof and siding on your house by the end of the show, lol.

  10. Man I must be getting old...I watched the episode and all I see is a death trap they put together. How do they drive that on the street even for a short time, no one would insure that, no plates, lots of jagged unsecured metal that would probably tear them up if someone ran into them...I am not even sure of the integrity of the cage after seeing them cut out a main diagonal part of it. Then take it to the track and it lasts only for a few moments 👎

Oh, and they wasted a good Monte shell on this "project" 🤢
