Thanks guys for all your input,I'll likely go with the 7 since my Grandson has it and can help me with the upgrade,at my age 7 may be the last upgrade I'll need . Terry Bruce,I just got a new cannon printer so I'm hoping it works with 7. I also just bought a new monitor and key board so I should be good to go after I upgrade.

I'm Tech Challenged in a big way,so If my Grandson can still install 7 then I guess I'll go that way. He did his parents awhile back with 7 and they don't seem to have any issues but they know what there doing.I think they still will charge you even with already owning the disc to install ,They want to get in everyones pocket so i beleive you have to give them your pc #so you can't buy one disc and give it to others for free. My Grandson is only 15 and he's taking Cyber security and he's smart with this,I told him that I'll pick him up in the Monte and bring him here to fix me up .I'm taking him along at the end of the Month to a show with me.I'm trying to brain wash that Ford out and a Monte in. His Dad is a Ford guy. Thanks Terry

Just curious if anyone is still using XP ,as most know on April 8th windows will no longer be supporting the XP,(updates ect) also alot of Anti Virus providers will not be suppoprting them as well. I'll have to upgrade my XP and I'm wondering about Windows 7 or is it 7.1 very soon. Any body have 7 and how do you like it ? My Grandson has the program and will install so I'm curious if there is any neg opinions if you have it. Windows XP has been great for all I use the pc ,they just can't leave well enough alone. They say that the Hackers are all ready to feast on us after the 8th if we don't change. You can google Windows XP if you want more info. Thanks, Terry
  6. Is old and Sinial a good defense Sam TR
  7. Hi Matt, I have 4 row rads in mine,For a 4 row to fit you have to bend the driver side of the core support slightly and also the top plate for the rubber cushions because of them being longer to fit the tank, unless you get the top plate with an extension tab from the parts place. The rad came from www.SS396.com (Ground up)company. They are copper/brass and cost $384.00 Prt # AKY-844A for an automatic . They are a chevelle supplier but the rads are the same. Terry
  8. I took another reading this morning and used the correct scale this time and thats what mine is reading 12-14 . The outer # were larger and eaiser to read Thanks Terry
  9. Yes it looks like the one And I was reading the outside scale Andreas, Will check it again using the right scale tomorrow, thanks guys for helping this ole man out Terry
  10. It sounds like it Sam,I've had this one for awhile and never used it until today so I can't take it back.I'll use my buddys gauge at the garage and see what inches of vac it really has. My Truck engine ,350/330 hp new crate engine only has 21 inches when I checked it a while back but with another gauge. Thanks guys,I knew it was a crazy question but couldn't delete it when I came to my senses Terry
  11. Hi Mike,I was on the vac port that screws in the rear of the mainifold.I would have to be on the carb to get ported would'nt I ?It was reading more then 30,around 32-33 inches at 1100 rpm. Maybe its a bad gauge ??.Don't know why the Green/Red scale is at the bottom and what its for. Its an inexpensive gauge that I bought at harbor frieght. It doesn't mention anything in the manual about it. I was just curious if anyone seen this on there gauge ,it idles good around 8-900 in gear and runs very well so it can't be too bad. What do you mean "All In " Mike ? Terry
  12. It may help if I read the manual :)reguarding the reading on the bottom of "Late ign timing" The needle was on around 30 inches and this is where this red /green scale about the timing was.My old ga only read vac and a no brainer. I'll find the manual and see what it says, maybe I was sucking in too many exhaust fumes and was delusional I thought 30 was high too my other BB only reads around 22 +or - Terry
  13. Hi Andreas,Its a compound meter ,fuel pump and engine vac, nothing expensive. I set the idle back to 6-700 rpms while setting the base timing and carb I need it to be around 12-1300 in park ,in gear it drops to about 900 rpm. It has a scale at the bottom ,red says Late ign timing and green that says normal motor ,also says at the bottom hand should remain steady in green zone At Idle in park at 1100 rpm its pulling about 30 inches of vac. Terry
  14. Need some advise on this 427 Chevy Crate engine timing,It calls for 10-12 Base and 34-36 total.I have it on 12 with the vacumn off and blocked, idle at 600 .I have a vacumn gauge connected to set the carb and on the gauge it reads "Late ign Timing". Can this be because of the cam ? It has a .527 intake /.544 exhaust,Duration 224 intake/234 exhaust @ .50 "lift. Centerlne 110 LSA. Its running great but was just curious If not the cam what would be your "expert opinion" Thanks Terry
  15. Looks Great ! Nice and neat ,good job Terry
  16. Thanks Scott for helping John, John, don't worry about the "Hijacking thingy" we're all here to help . Terry
  17. Thanks John,I really like them .They sit very nice. I ask Scott ,(the guy that installed mine to reply )about your question ,he said that he will so check back. He knows what he's doing and is very peticular with his work . I'm getting him to do my other Monte in the fall. Good luck with your project. Terry
  18. I'm sure you'll like them Jacob,I'll know better when I start driving this spring.I like the looks and just from sitting in them feel great. Terry
  19. Thanks guys,Can't wait until the weather breaks to take the Monte out and try them out. Terry
  20. Thanks Bruce and everyone,I'm planning on doing the Turquoise Monte next but right now the budget doesn't allow.I have the nylon insert buckets but thinking strongly to change to the all vinyl and the Rally sport covers like the ones above. Terry
  21. Thanks John,Yours look great also . You done a nice job installing them . You'll like the way they sit too. Terry
  22. Finally got my seats back and installed along with new ACC Carpet. I used Legendary's Front bucket Seat Cover Kit.It had all thats needed to restore them ,covers, buns, burlap rings ect. I also used the Rally Sport Kit,the buns are raised more at the edges on the bottoms and the backs . They still are the same height where you sit and doesn't crowd you. I'like the way they sit and feel.
  23. I don't know if you could see over that Terry! Does that new big block have clearance under your hood Terry or do you need one? No problem Tony it fits under there well,Just wanted to "Ring your Bell" Terry
