Take the battery & have it Load tested free most part stores maybe a shorted cell, which may also be why your not charging correctly. I have seen a new delco battery go bad after 1 month.
-
You can also take Alt to any Advance or Autozone to machine test it, It's Free. Only a 5 min job to remove, Check plug-in 2 wire they make a replacement repair connector $5.00 Make sure you Always disconnect battery whenever you work on Electric.

1st the regulator should be grounded. second you can unplug regulator & jump out labeled wires F & 2 start it up slowly & increase RPM voltage should rise fast Don't go beyond 16 Volts 1500 RPMs if it does it's regulator or bad wiring or ground. There are many test you can do but too much to post here get a repair manual if needed normal alternator output should be at least 13.5 to 15 volts depending on Temperature & load, Rpm's. Bob

I meant to write in Gear not Park
Yes timing can be a factor, Mostly because the more advanced the timing the higher the idle speed.
-
idle too high. Shutting off in neutral makes it worst. shutting off in park will make it better. hook up a tach even factory tach are often not accurate. Does your carb have a idle solenoid? Bob

Most drivers by the time the light comes on 8lbs or less, shut it down the damage is done. However a gauge not in plain sight is much help either. Tee it off & have both.

Looks to be a definite re stamp. As far as value only one could guess, No one who would be doing a show condition would want it. My 2cents

- If there's air in the system doing rears first only makes it harder to remove & making air travel that much farther to get out. & could results in some not getting out.

Gm factory manuall state bleed LF,RF,LR,RR always shortest distance from Master Cly to furriest. Are your rear shoes adjusted properly?.When yo push down on petal does it stop at some point & stay hard? You can adjust petal height if necessary under dash.

Why is it out of Freon then?

That's correct, Also check dryer is it sweating? An output temp at right side vent at 43 degrees is great at mid seventy outside temp at 1300 rpms door open. should be able to find a chart online. at higher outside temps ( measured at front of grill a couple inches out) adjust output a higher temp at vent. Are you replaceing any parts? Must pump down to vac at least 30 Mins.
