Where did you get the hood insulation from? Can you post a pic of it?

I have 1406 Edelbrock and when I punch the accelerator it bogs down, then it picks up normally. I'm told it could be the accelerator pump? Anyone have any similar issues?

I checked the blower motor resistor and it was plugged with fluff and crap from a mouse, before checking I didn't have high speed on the fan, I cleaned out and now I have nothing. So i ordered a new one from The Parts Place and they sent me one that is similar but too big to fit in the hole where the old one was. The car had Air Conditioning but its disconnected. Are there different styles of resistors? I should still be able to adjust the fan even though the Air is not hooked up? The pic is what I received, but it too big.

I'm at the beginning stages of my project 350 engine build, I'm confused as to what I should do. I have the block #3970010 and I'm taking it in to get cleaned and inspected. I'm not looking to turn it into a stroker but I would like 400-425 hp. Could this be done with this block? It's bone stock, never been bored etc. Where do I start after the cleaning and inspection? Could it be bored out? I have no clue where to go, its not something I want done right away due to budget restraints but I'd like to get a good build eventually. Any advice? I have an Edelbrock Performer intake already and a 650 Edelbrock carb, just need to figure out the right crank and cam etc.

I'm getting cremated, so they can tape up the ends and stick me in them. It would make for a good conversation piece with me on the mantle in two exhaust tips, don't you think?

That's exactly what I wanted to do, where did you get the tips from? Should have just asked you seeing as our cars are the same

It not really an engine based question but I'm getting my exhaust redone on Monday and would like to see what everyone has for exhaust tips, currently mine are just short of the rear bumper and I get exhaust coming in the car when I have the windows down. I wanted to see what tips look good or just go stock past the bumper a bit.

I asked the same question, I have a 70 and they come out at the back of the hood. I tried to take a picture but its a grey day here. I haven't swapped mine out yet but the squirters are all the same. I bought mine from The Parts Place Inc.

I bought a set of Summits ceramic headers and the fit perfect look great still and have had 0 issues with them and they are inexpensive compared to the name brand headers. If you are interested I can send you pic.
Well we have the same car so why not the same headers? LOL. Can you send me a pic and the part number?

Well I have no clue what would fit best, I'd like a good set with out breaking the bank. Are shorty's better or are LOng tube better, mostly for performance as well.

I have 3.73 and Flowmasters, it does have a nice rumble but I thought maybe I could get a bit more bang by upgrading a few stock parts.

$600 to 750 budget in mind, I'd like to get an intake, cam, roller rockers(I was told that is what I should get) and stay with my 600cfm carb.

I am looking at building up my 250 HP GM crate motor, just need some advice on what I should get for a street/cruise Cam etc. Any ideas? I have an Edelbrock carb, was thinking cam, lifters and an intake but need advice on what to buy.

That's my next project, I wasn't sure how it attached and how many tabs there were supposed to be. I buy all my stuff from them, good guys. I had an issue with my seat covers and they resolved it.
