I like the Horseshoe shifter, it's what my dad had in his Chevelle.And I think original console setups look nice. But like I said,right now I have column shift and the Hurst I like isn't too much more than me buying an original type of shifter. I just wanted a more race looking kind.

Will an aftermarket shifter work in a stock console? I really want to switch my Monte to a bucket, console car and want to go with an original console but dont want to use the H type shifter. I'd like to use the Hurst pistol grip, is this gonna be too much trouble?

The fenderwells I have are a plastic material. I wouldn't say they're flexible but kinda... Did you use the stock hardware locations to mount them or was alot of drilling involved?

Will I still be able to use or mount my hood spear with an aftermarket fiberglass cowl hood?

I went with the 4" cowl race weight hood from Carhoods. Do they not fit too well? I hope they do as expensive as they are!

On the US body and Carhoods sites it shows that the race weight front fenders will not fit with fenderwells. I spent quite a bit for my inner fenderwells and would like to still use them, is this not possible with these fiberglass peices? Also I saw that the HD "glass" peices still utilize stock hinges;etc. but there are two trunk lids available. Is the race weight lid a lift off like the race cowl hood?

I was wondering if anybody had rolled their car on a scale, and if so what is the actual weight? There is a recycling center near my house and want to take it and see but my cars torn apart, and I just took the block out to get it machined (My New Project!). I got some advice from some of the other members on where to get some good quality fiberglass peices but I kinda would like to get a base weight that way I know how much I'm shedding. MADMAC
