No, I have no talent other than cheap humor /quote]
You have much more talent than you realize. It just needs to be brought out with a little training. And that's no joke.
Dan
I've learned more from this site and all the members than anywhere else. I'll get good at something someday, just aint found me nitch yet. But thank you Dan..... I fell like throwing my gloves in teh air and screaming 'Yo Adrian.... we did it"
-
I got air up front, if you got it in the back, together we make a full set of hair LOL
-
sadly I've been to all the hair restoration shops, they tell my hair is out of production. So unless I can find some NOS hair on Ebay I'll probably have to go with some Chinese repo junk. Been thinking though, tattoo's are all the rage, maybe I'll just get a hair tattoo....
Truth be told, my home boy told me the other day I was "losing my crown". Maybe we should get FGMCC tats in plaace of hair LOL. I'm gonna have to request MOD status before I make that kind of commitment. That way i can delete half YOUR posts LOL since their usually at me expense

it's not receding Pink...it just turned clear.....
Looks like you got your clear coat and conditioner mixed up homie. I'm sure one of these many Monte afficanado's can come up with a carpet color code that matches your natural hair color so we can do a little patch job

Wow, good one Adrian
Couldn't let Dave get the last laugh... and that was a good one on his part.

Stainless is great to work with. You can make a pretty beat up part look better than they did when new. (They weren't polished.) I bought a buffer when I restored a Mustang a few years ago, repaired the stainless and polished it all and took the hubcaps apart and polished them. I showed my son how to do the polishing when we restored the 71 Monte for him. A few guys in the local car club found out we could repair stainless and I took on a few jobs for them. I agree, it definitely takes alot of time, but I have a hard time charging a fair price. I always think I should give them a big break and I end up working for too little. I'd rather just work on my own stuff, but I haven't been able to tell them "no". Anybody else have this problem?
Thanks for the links!
Dan

Great job, Mike! It looks like the other tire was barely touching.

That's great, Arsin.
Far and few inbetween but it happens on occasion

I went as far as 320 grit on my belt molding trim pieces, just taking your time is the key. Sand, sand, sand some more, then polish away!
Thats a decent thread, I picked up a book, that helped me while doing some dent removal as well. The old stainless moldings have a lot of life in them,as long as you dont get in a hurry
Thanx. Try these ones out also. Might be helpful to use noobs as well as some of you "seasoned" vets

Bah, the heater core is kids stuff. No special tools required just some patience and time.
No lie. Just did it though
-
Do you mean pass side that is where the blower is. Are you removing the heater too.
Naw, getting rid of the A/C but the blower don't work and eventually going to get around to the heater core (I've already heard how hard it is so I'm waiting)
-
That's too cool. I want to do that.
...but then I'll want to do this:
You know...tires smokin' AND wheels up!
But then you need to concentrate on brake performance:
As for the photoshop, it's ok...I've seen Tim doctor his photos to make it look like both of his rear tires are spinning. LOL
Sounds like he's a photoshop pro. Maybe he can p-shop my quarter panel and save me some cash????
-
Saw the post from awhile back, then came across it again and thought of you guys. Not ready to do any polishing, I just removed the driver side inner fender and am in the process of removing the AC unit and then get into blower motor and all that fun stuff.

I found this and found this and thought it might be useful. Experts, let me know if this or a thread

Say what? I think you've been drinking, Pink!
Dave
I think there was a few "m's missing. Adrian needs a new keyboard.
Yeah the key board at home is got an "M" button that sticks. It was suppose to read "Thank God B (Bianca) doesn't mind I drink MGD" in reference to an earlier post. Geez.... One drunken post and I'll never live it down Like I'm the only one thats done that
-
That's like Hussein, he shot his wife for drinking Bush beer. LOL
Thank God B doesnt ind I drink GD High Life LOL. That would alost constitute torture

There is a trophy for club participation. We should have a good chance at that. It all depends on how many club cars get registered for the show.
At the 2007 meet, the car show actually made special trophies for our club which was very nice.
If there is any competion for partipation I know some people that know some people. And yes they are short like me which means we can hope on shoulders and form like Voltron
