2. i hear around that B&M is not a good choice for converters... don't know why the saturday night special was recommended by TCI for my application don't know if it has thrust or not
3. i BELIEVE my rear gear is like 2.70 Wheels are stock 15" with stock tires. I will replace that 2.70 someday... I saw a saturday nite with a 2000 stall, that looked kinda good

5. Finally got the motor out on a stand (1st in 35 years)...the torque converter is stock. I'm puttin in a crane cam(somewhat mild), i put on a performer intake, performer 600cfm carb, headers, Pertronix&Hyfire ignition, etc... I'm looking for Brand, and Stall i should be lookin at. (Who MAKEs the best converters?) I've heard a few times that B&M converters are crap. $$$$ is a factor in the choice getting ready for the 1st annual west michigan cruise august 27th.
6. "Compression during the compression stroke of the engine can "blow out" the spark. So, yes, it has something to do with spark intensity. Of course, if you are having that problem, then your spark is not intense enough. I didn't mention this before because it was beyond the scope of the question." can't say i've ever heard that can blow out the spark like a candle
7. Quote: Originally posted by Monte: Is your mx-6 a turbo car??? Monte It's probably the worst combo u'd want on a mx6 It's a 94 4cylinder Automatic. v6 stick would be too much fun
8. "Surprisingly, points deliver a more consistent spark at upper RPM than even the Best distributors/ignition boxes, including the MSD 6, 6AL, etc. WHEN (and I emphasize "WHEN") they're adjusted properly" lets see...a mechanical points system is more consistent at HIGH RPMS than an electronic system. I see all the drag cars running points these days. "A dual point dist. gives two sparks. The first is the initial spark, then the second spark pushes the piston down more hence increasing the stroke. " I won't even comment. this is some of the crap i have to deal with at mx6.com (i visit cuz i have one)
9. on another forum, there's a discussion on overtightening lugnuts causes the brake ROTOR to warp. If the rotor is sandwiched between the wheel and the spindle and there is ALOT of torque on all the lugnuts but equal. Where does the WARPING come into play?? The only answer so far is 'I just know it does because many mechanics have told me so'
10. the POR15 gas tank kit works great. I used it on mine. (plus some pig puddy to cover holes)
11. I was told on this forum awhile back that 'dull aluminum' from Duplicolor is the same color used for rally wheels. I just haven't been able to FIND a place with Dull aluminum
12. Anybody else thinking that he shouldn't be use CHAMPION plugs? I have never heard a good thing about them in my entire LIFE
