  1. Tom, You and the boys are always welcome wherever we are. Always an open invitation !! You just need to get out or off of Staten Italy and come join us. The Syracuse Nationals would be a great place to join and experience with us and other FGMCC members. Loads of vehicles, fun and antics for you. Yes, Musclepalooza or Musclemania (whatever they are now calling it) is on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend. Unfortunately both would interfere with your biannual BBQ’s. Yes, Island and Lebanon Valley are now the closest tracks to us on Long Island. We do have RTNS, (Race Track, Not Street)  which is part of (LINADS) Long Island Needs A Drag Strip, and has become a seasonal (former Grumman runway used for testing F-14’s) temporary 1/8 mile “NHRA sanctioned” track in Calverton, near Riverhead NY (Long Island). They have to make their track schedule around the Piping Plover mating and birthing season (usually start up in late August and go until the end of October) and don’t allow traction compound of any kind on the track. They just completed their second season. At this point, something is better than nothing since the nearest tracks are hours away.

  2. Thanks for the info Steve. The Syracuse Nationals Host hotel room prices start at $259.99 per night. We definitely have an excellent discounted room rate at our “Club hotel”. If you are possibly thinking of coming to this event please book your room now. This is why this Mini Meet event info is posted early. Save yourself a lot of money and stress.

  3. Beautiful view of your property Ron. Glad you got it patched and are weathertight. Some steep pitches up there. Not worth taking a chance of getting injured doing your roof. Let the roofing professionals take care of it for you. Be safe.

  4. Welcome Mark !!! Your in the right place for the First Generation Monte Carlo. Lots of good things going on here. We run multiple Meets yearly, Eastern, Western and Mini Meets. They may not be near you but if you make the effort and attend one of them, you’ll be back. A great way to meet other members, see lots of First Gen Monte’s all in one place and participate in various Club activities. Other members can tell you about about their experiences. Enjoy !!!

  5. Welcome Gary !! Well worth the admission for the yearly subscription !! Great people, Monte’s and info for the First Gen Montes. I’ll second what Rob said. Looking forward to you hopefully joining us. Plenty of great upcoming events happening too.

  6. Congratulations Tom !! Glad you have your eyes open and spotted another Monte. He’s on the website, but is he a dues paying member ??? If so, you use your Club acquired stalking skills and persuasive manner to make sure he’s coming to Carlisle for the Eastern Meet ??? Since he is probably a local Staten Island resident make arrangements and have him caravan with you to Carlisle.

  7. I am proud to announce we have secured a Hotel contract for the upcoming 2024 First Generation Monte Carlo Club Mini Meet at the Syracuse Nationals with the Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton as our Club Host Hotel for this event. They did a great job in accommodating us for our prior events there. If you have any intentions of attending this Mini Meet event, PLEASE book your room sooner than later as Hotel space everywhere in the Syracuse area is at a premium for this event. You must be dues paying member in good standing of the First Generation Monte Carlo Club to make a hotel reservation at the Club discounted rate and to participate in this Mini Meet.

     -  A group of First Generation Monte Carlo Club members has stayed at this Hotel for prior Syracuse Nationals Mini Meets. We felt it met all of our criteria, the ability to obtain a Club contract for a greatly reduced room price, a daily free hot and cold breakfast, safe parking for our tow and show vehicles with sufficient trailer parking, a hotel location with with great access from 2 Interstate highways, close to the NYS Fairgrounds where the Syracuse Nationals are held, the City of Syracuse with a very good dining and restaurants, gas stations for quality vehicle fuel, nearby nightly local cruise in’s. We even found a local homemade ice cream stand, just off the Hotel property. So come join us for the “Largest Car Show in the Northeast” on approximately 400 acres of the NYS Fairgrounds, meet other Club members, enjoy some great food, fun, antics, camaraderie, homemade ice cream, and an awesome car show with over 10,000 vehicles present.

  8. There are numerous manufacturers of wireless camera systems for your trailer. I am currently in the process of selecting one for my enclosed trailer. Depending on its options and how it’s set up, they can work either just in reverse or constantly on all the time. Some even have multiple cameras for the sides of trailer too, or for the inside of the trailer so you can monitor your cargo or vehicle while towing. They even offer various size vehicle viewing screens and cameras, from 1080 to 4K pixels with night vision too.
