I suspect Bob is doing that so from start to current his restoration is pretty much all in one long post over the years. From knowing Bob all these years getting this done has been a challenge but I am glad to see there is a light at the end of the tunnel for him.
Having followed Bob's restoration over all of these years, if I am not mistaken I think Bob has done almost all of the work himself. When I was young, single and living at home I did the restoration on my Model A.... back then I didn't have any home, family or any other responsibilities, I know I would not have been able to do what Bob or many others here have done in the restoration of their cars. I have seen way too many people take on a project like this and give up on it, I know I could not have accomplished what Bob has done on this car.

Yes Rob. I did all of the work besides rebuild the transmission and add the 3:55 posi. I did the sheet metal repair and paint prep. I had a friend help spray the base and clear.

Thank you for the clarification gentlemen! I took them off. lol
I know they did not come on a 71 but I am going to install them. I feel they spruce up the front end.

It has been a long road. As the saying goes when you have the time you don't have the money and when you have the money you don't have the time. Many things in life have happened in life during the restoration, some good and some bad. The good news is I sure hope to have it on the road by the time the salt has been washed away and I am able to put some miles on it and have the confidence to drive it to the 2024 Eastern meet.

I haven't had a couple negative customer experiences with them lately as well, could be a side effect of the merger.
Frank I have had two negative experiences as well.

Joe said he’s going to snap a picture of his car when he goes out to the shop. If not I can pull the cover off my 71 and snap as many as you need
Thanks Dennis

Thanks Joe that is the picture I am looking for. I would have thought it was a little closer to the windshield trim

I could be wrong but Bob may be looking for pictures of how the vinyl top trim on the 70 with full halo is routed and/or how the vinyl material on some 70 and all 71/72's tuck into the windshield trim.
rob
You are correct Rob. I'm looking at how far the vinyl top trim goes to the top of the windshield

I'll be of no help then, because my 72 vinyl goes the full way & tucks under the W/S trim.
Yes exactly goes into the window channel.
I would like the trim to dead end into the window trim further but then it only leaves a +1/4" where it slides into the Z shaped trim.

I'm very unhappy with the window cranks I purchased from a vendor at Carlisle They fit terrible on the spline. Recommendations on a quality crank is greatly appreciated.

Rob,
I would stick with AC Delco and use R45TS and set the gap at .35 if you are still using points.

I'm looking for two 15x7 OEM Rally Wheels. When I mounted the tires today I found out 2 of the 5 were bent. Ohio in the Cleveland area.

Is it possible that the console cars had a thicker pad up top?
Not sure Dennis but that is how I am going to resolve my issue by adding a little more jute at the top of the tunnel.

I just put a minimal cut from what I remember.
Thanks Joe,
The carpet is somewhat loose at the top of the tunnel and the console has a gap there as you can see in the pictures. Dan said his had a gap also.
