Thanks for the tip Darren, I will try another one, and let you know. I grabbed that switch out of a box of old ones I had lying around, so it is very possible I could have gotten a bad one.

trying to work another bug out of this recently restored gem. The dome light, and the light in the back of the Console stays on, and drains the battery down. I checked the door switches, and they dont appear to be sticking at all...What else could it be, anyone else ever have this issue?? Forrest

Its most likely the aftermarket bumper I had to get, instead of being patient, and waiting the get an OEM rechromed bumper. I did spend the bucks for an original rear bumper.

Im having some issues with a 1971 Monte bumper on my restoration. I have recently learned how hard it was to find 71' front parking lights, and was able to locate a nice pair of used OEMs from another member. I recently also bought one of those new bumpers out there for it. Now i'm running into a bracket fit problem. Are 71 brackets different from 70'&72' brackets??? The ones I have interfere with the parking lights now in my bumper. I didnt have brackets with the car b4, but I have a set of 70', and a set of 72' Monte brackets. And several 70-72 Chevelle brackets, none of what I have seems to be working, and I cant seem to locate any year specific 71' brackets new online. Has anyone else encountered this same issue?? Thanks, I will look at the Dimmer switch, it is a new one, but could have a bad connection on it 4 sure! I'm really hoping it's not the turn signal switch, i hate the thought of having to work in the column again.

Just getting my 71' roadworthy, I have an issue with my right rear brakelight, and right directional not working at all, the left side is fine, and all the bulbs work fine, and are new! When the headlights are on, all the lights work fine??? Any ideas?? Thanks, Forrest
