  1. Well cbolt I appreciate the input!!! I for sure will be cruising to different meet spots, and once in a while take it up north with me, so I think with all your info, 3.55 will probably give me the fun I want but also the ability to hit the highway an cruise! My next question, is who do you guys buy through for these parts, I am not to sure of a place in Ontario that deals with diff gears. I will do my research for sure though! Thanks a lot
  2. Does anyone have or is otherwise on here somewhere, a wiring diagram from the heater control, ac, blower motor and resistor?
  3. So it looks like I have the 8.2 inch 10 bolt with the 11 inch cover. The motor I am running is a big block 396 bored 30 over (402) with a th350. The engine has a very mild cam and hats about all that's done to it. Other then just up grading push rods, lifters and rockers. What are the options for using this rear end housing but different gear? Who has this style, what's your drive line setup and gear setup? Thanks everyone
  4. Perfect thanks everyone for the info. Took the long weekend he relax, so I'll be back on it today
  5. Sounds like I got my answer, thanks sam. Thanks for the input everyone
  6. Great info, thanks. So how wold I find out exactly what I have in here now?
  7. No idea what gears are in it now, how could I tell? To be honest I am not sure what gears, I always hear 3.73's are usually a good gear In terms of bop or Chevy, how do I find that out? The motor I am running, is a 396 bored 30 over, so 402, as far as rpm, I'll have to wait for it to get on the engine Dyno. I need some education, what is a 2 series gear? Thanks mike
  8. I don't know which way to go I don't have the motor in the car, I wanted to run all of the brake lines before that, so I can't figure out which way to go haha
  9. So I know this question has been asked I am sure. I have the 10 bolt open diff I'm my 70 MC, and what I am wondering, is there anything out there that will give me posi with still keeping a good street/highway car. Or am I into finding another diff? Parts here in Ontario are somewhat difficult to come by and shipping/buying from the states right now is sort of pricey. Any ideas or info is much appreciated! Thanks, Chris
  10. Thanks Leo! Whenever I make it to this point I'll keep you guys updated on the progress!
  11. Dan, I was thinking of mounting it on top of the frame rail aswell, would you happen to have a picture of what yours looks like and how it's mounted? I was going to make an L shaped bracket and bolt it to the frame then bolt the valve to it. Thanks
  12. Oh ok, so roughly same location as stock Robert? If so, what did you do to mount it? Did you use both mounting spots, drill holes? Thanks, Chris.
  13. So I am wondering what some of you have done with the location of proportioning valve. I am not using the original valve, I have a newer style. Like the one in the picture if it shows up. I was wondering if anyone has used it and if so, where did you mount it? I was told that on the frame rail where the stock one mounted was a little to close to the exhaust manifold with a big block shoe horned in. Any ideas? Pictures? Thanks everyone
  14. Wow, guys thank you very much! I have got a lot of reading to do!! Again thank you for all this!
  15. Well those are a start! Thanks Bruce. Any idea on cable or brackets needed at the transmission? Thanks Chris
  16. Hey everyone. I know this has probably been posted but I went through over 10 pages and didn't see anything or missed it. My question is, I have a few floor shifters, a th350 trans, and I need to make those two work together. What is involved? Which cable, brackets etc. I only have a manual console not the auto but I'll worry about that after! Any help would be great! Thanks Chris.
  17. hey guys, My names chris, an i have a 1970 monte carlo with a 350 small block an a TH400 backing it up. My question is with the kick down linkage. from the day i bought the car, the kickdown linkage has never connectid. With installing the TH400, i still cannot connect it. It seems like the cable is to short, i have the one bracket at the back of the intake, but it doesnt reach to the carb and there isnt even a spot on the carb to put it. its a reg. holly 600CFM, any ideas or where i can get an adptor to make it fit right? thanks chris
