  1. After the monsoon in Carlisle I found the passenger side carpet was damp.

I have the inner fender out and there are two smaller gaps in the seam sealer and the fan had little sealant around it.

Also, I didn’t drive the car so the rain entered while the car was sitting still.

Any known leak areas I should be looking at?
    Thanks

Willie asked me about car covers the other day, the cheap plastic disposable kind with elastic on the bottom. As we were talking, I looked online and found some on Amazon, basically like a big shower cap (or car condom).

So, FWIW, below is a link to them, and Amazon had them to my house the next day (Willie & I are going to split the box of 4). Actually, I just ordered another box minutes ago to be safe, and again, they'll be here tomorrow.

They say there's only 10 left in stock, so hurry if you think you may want some.

The reviews aren't the greatest, but keep in mind what you're buying here.... it's just a cheap, disposable rain cover, not going to be used for winter storage.

I have to say with great sadness I am not able to make this trip to Carlisle this year due to physical limitations from this back injury, I have had to cancel 3 trips so far and am really bummed out about it. I have notified the club officers. Hopefully I'll see some of you at Syracuse, at this time I'm hoping that I'll be able to make that one either with or without my camper. I'd like to say thank you to a few members that have reached out with words of encouragement and kindness.  I love this club! Guess I'll start planning next year. Hope everyone has a great time and safe travels.

Sorry to hear that Steve,  hope your back heals up and we see you in Syracuse.

I know from experience that Old Air Products stand behind their products. I wouldn't buy from anyone else. Not that other companies don't as well, but I have nothing but positive interactions with OAP.

Good to know.   Part is on the way.

You know how them forums are though, full of all sorts of questionable information (mis-info )

    😉

I spoke to sales at Old Air.  I asked them which I compressor I would need for a stock AC car, the super heat or high pressure versions, and the guy said I could use either one.

  6. Converting from r12 to r134.  I've replaced the lines, replaced the o-rings, flushed the system, replaced the POA and expansion valves along with the drier.    The car car still has the a6 compressor which will need to be drained of oil.    Can/should I stay with the compressor or is there a better solution?   I do want to keep it fairly stock looking under the hood.   thanks

  7. thanks all.   In the grand scheme of things, I know there are worse problems to have.   Nothing some touch up paint and a cold beer can't make better!   I'll have it fixed in the fall when the season is over.
