  1. I need some help identifing a component in the dash configuration. I started out simply tring to install some front dash speakers and ended up taking the entire dash out once I got into it. I ended up breaking the gauge cluster plastic housing and had to replace it. As I'm putting it back together I noticed that I don't remember what was in one of the 4 small holes surrounding the speedometer. The two upper are the right and left turn signals and the lower right is the high beam indicator. The one one the lower left is a question. There is a dash bulb in the opening in the instrument cluster, however, I don't remember what was in front on the dash side. It appears to be open all the way to the bulb location. What is it for? Thanks! Terry
  2. Thanks Andreas! I really appreciate it! What is a covert vinyl top and was there different types? Also, do you know what the last numbers represent? Thanks! Terry
  3. I am a new member of the Club and am trying to decode the Cowel Tag on my 72 Monte. I have some of it figured out, however, I need some help on the missing pieces. The tag codes are as follows: ST72 13857 K 3342441BDY TR 735 A52 65 TPNT 06A 01104 Thanks!
  4. Sam, I saw in another thread that you have the MSA book to determine Trim Codes. If you have a minute and can decode mine for me I would really appreciate it. ST72 13857 K332441BDY TR 735 A52 65 TPNT 06A 01104 Thanks! Terry
  5. Actually I found out today that is the tranny I have in the car. I'm thinking the 331 gear might be what will work for me. Thanks! Terry
  6. Thanks Heckeng! Great idea!
  7. Great idea! I'll have to find out what size the current gear is. Also, it has an open rear end and I would like to have a posi. Any suggestions on the most economical way to go? Thanks! Terry
  8. Mainly pleasure driving. I am looking for additional power for that occaisional urge to "get on it" for speed and some low end torque to light them up. I currenly have an open rear end and I would like to turn it into a posi. Any suggestions. Thanks! Terry
  9. I have a 72 MC with what appears to be a stock 402. What is the best way and least expensive way to increase horsepower?
