  1. Hello! Finally working on the car again, anyone have any info on the emission hose locations on the tank and where they go? I can't find any of the pictures I took when I was taking apart my other 72 parts car many years ago. Any help would be appreciated!

  2. 'm a little late to the party, but my 72 Custom is a W code. have part of the build sheet left, but it was fairly well loaded with options from what is left. I am currently putting back together with parts from my plain 72.

  3. Any ideas on 71 12 bolt pinion yoke torque? I have a 12 bolt i picked up with the wrong yoke on it and the nut is loose. As my 72 service manual is with the car 45 min away, i cant look it up and my haynes manual doesnt say. Any help appreciated! Thanks

  4. Big block, th400....driveshaft length...54 1/2 " u joint to u joint or 55 1/2"? I had it written down, but left in car, mice got ahold of my book with all my stuff written down in it....any help would be appreciated. Thanks again!

  5. What goes behind the kick panel on the cowl drivers side for an AC car? What stops the air from coming in? I know there is a vacuum door on the pass side. Pics if possible, as I cant find anything in the 72 assembly manual.

  6. Anyone have any original or homemade Custom sail panel badges for sale? Did someone make some,I thought I remember seeing on here someone made some. I cant find mine when I was given 2. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  7. I'm guessing more for a somewhat stock appearance as I'm going restomod leaning heavily toward stock.I'm not building to car for road raving or anything. Truth be told to me that's the charm of these old cars is how they handle..thanks very much for the input and help up to date!

  8. Hope this helps... on my 70 parts car, both outer front mounts were bolts, the rest were studs...make sure that the spacing on your seat tracks are roughly 15 inches give or take front to back...I know other gm cars had a shorter distance roughly 12 inches....My 72 Custom has a different stud/ bolt hole arrangement than the 70. I'm not too sure about the 71's...What i did on my first 72 which was a bench car, used the original outer mounts and drilled where it should sit and bolted right through into nuts with washers....I didnt get any pics of that though..... Anyone else that can chime in to help?

  9. Interesting find last night as I was setting the non power bucket seat in my 72....According to the build sheet (for whats left of it) it said power drivers bucket seat...and the parts I go was a non complete power bucket seat. So I was just going too install my NON power bucket seat in its place....but as it turns out the mount is complete different on the floor between the two. The power seat mount is roughly 3 inches shorter front to back distance between the mounting points.... easily enough I was able to do some work and mount the non power in its place... Just struck me as a little odd that's all.
