Very nice. And thanks for the pictures. I can use your brilliant restoration to help with mine. One heck of a nice example to follow.
Thank you so much for the kind words Dennis

Well, that explains a lot . . . My new Goodmark springs worked for about a month and then petered out. Thanks for the info! Now do you have any tips on installation? My use of a floor jack to extend the spring and then fill the spaces with washers until installed was kinda exciting to say the least!
Two of us did mine. We hooked a heavy chain on the end of the spring. One guy (me) guided the spring and my buddy was at the end of the chain pulling with all he had. The spring hooks should be pointing up at the front by the way.

Hello all, just a heads up when replacing hood springs. The one's from Goodmark don't measure up and didn't keep my hood up. I ordered a second set from Year One and they are part 81N. They are noticeably heavier duty and hold my hood up perfectly.

Love it!!!!!!!!!
I see your chrome horizontal bars are red! I don't remember mine (not an SS) being red ever but perhaps the paint came off. So black body painted Monte SS didn't get the lower gloss black in that area?
Hi Bruce, the tail light bezels were NOS fresh right out of very old boxes. The black SS's had the tail panels painted gloss black like the rest of the car. Here's a pic of my car when my late Uncle Ron had it and it still had original paint

I would try leaving them attached first and see if you can fit the floor pan in place. Does your floor pan have the area for under the rear seat too?

I'm not sure about that Robert. I've never installed a whole one piece floor with braces.

Beautiful!

Only make three cuts and not four so you can pry it open like a flap for access. When you're done, bend the flap closed and weld it shut
