  4. That is the key buzzer indicator switch. When you open the drivers door and the key is in the ignition the buzzer in the horn relay goes off

  9. the light is supposed to be always hot,it goes on when say the door jam switch grounds out on the body or when you turn the light switch.

  10. Fixed it today. Took me about 15 minutes with a philips screwdriver a socket set and steering wheel puller. Thanks for the tip

  11. The tilt column in my 70 is really sloppy and loose. Is there a rebuild kit one can get for this? I find it annoying and probly kinda dangerous too

I dont have to worry about the tranny yet, because there isnt one in there right now, the plate on the firewall fit fine im talking about the other plate that bolts from the 4 holes on the column to the two studs on the dash, it doesnt seem to line up and when i do line it up, the steering shft from the column to the box is too long

  15. I just picked up a tilt column for my monte i installed it and noticed that the plate on top of the column will not match up to the holes, am I doing something wrong?, also is the ignition switch (little box on top of column where wires hook up)different?
