When I got mine from CARS they ask if the org had buttons on bottom and it did so they put the buttons back.But the new solid foam they sell now is nowhere like the org.This crap now is junk.You have no slot to hog ring the center buttons on bottom to so I guess you would cut a slot in the new foam.That is what I'm dealing with now.

Repainted mine didn't like it so polished it back off and last week after new top was put on put polished ones on.Ordered some clips they sent wrong ones again.

I used metal polish and 0000 steel wool and they came out fine but if you need the clips they really don sel the right ones you need the center lock one ran into that last week on mine after putting the vinyl top on

I use the lead free from Eastwood and it works fine.Used it on my 40 Ford convertible and on the 71 Monte after I did a 1/4 panel replace

It is a problem with this new gas as most of mine do sit from time to time and you have to spin it over and over.My 40 Ford conv I have 2 97"s and they dry up after a couple weeks.I know because I rejeted them and the bowl were dry when I took them off.So the corn gas does evaporate

Those clips on the roof rail that o against the door glass what is covering them mine seem to be bare metal and I think that they have some sort of rubber coating.Could you use that coating that goes on handles of pliers called tooldip or something like that.I know OPGI sells them now for 20 something dollars but what else could you use Thanks

Thanks that is what I thought just wanted to be sure.A little more paint won't break the bank after all else is spent on this money pit.But I bought it new in 71 so I guess I've got my moneys worth so I'll drive it a few more years

Is it best to put color on top before install or just seal and leave primer and do you put clear on with color.Thanks

The weatherstrip om the right I bought a set fro SS396 for a Chevelle but the Chevelle has 2 clips and the MC has 3 but the outer ones are the real problem.Yes someone needs to repop but they say not enough demand

What are you doing for the seals that the quarter window goes to on the sail panel and the inside don't see it in pics.Thanks I have that problem soon

to get it working right you need the condensor to be larger to use 134a.The org compressor will not work good also with 134a.I repalced everything on mine from Classic Auto air for use with 134a

I made new studs out of nails I machined and rewelded to NOS 1/4 panel and panel back of rear glass between trunk so it looks org.I know nobody will see it but I think screws will loose at sometime.I guess i had a lot of spare time on my hands during the winter to do it

to shorten a driveshaft is no problem.as for crossmember I had to redrill the 2 back holes on frame but frt 2 worked when I put 700 in my 71

CKZ02 what is the final grit paper you are block sanding with to put on color.Used to you could get away with 320 but this BC/CC now I don't know.I'm old school lacquer.Thanks

I think that wire goes to the relay for A/C that in on the inside of firewall behind the glove box that is the wire I wish I knew exactly where it goes off the fuse panel.Mine is a 71 with air

It is spot welded before 1/4 window goes in.Had to snake arm and mig head down opening for window to get it tacked in

your org compressor doesn't like 134a also you have to change condensor to run 134a for best results the org cond is to small flow to get the cooling you want

Your rear seat foam is in great shape but the stuff they sell now is nothing like it.Mine was really stained from leaking roof.And the seat back looked like it just had cotton have you removed the back yet.My back had some rust on the bottom of the top springs I'll have to repair
