Guest
I am refurbishing a '72 on a budget. The armrest pad bases (the large, colored plastic part) are faded. You can scrap off surface material with your fingernail! My question is "Can I paint these to freshen them up and seal the surface?" If so, what type of paint should I use? Their original color is Dark Green which I hope to retain. Any tips on preserving these so I can focus on bigger issues with interior? Thanks... Guest
go to a paint supply house that deals only in automotive paint. they will give you the direction you need. i would use a scrub brush with some enamel reducer to clean off the loose stuff and get all the dirt and oil off. good luck
