I have put together many T-400 trannies and never had any problems before. Mostly because I have been in brain-lock every time I worked on it. I finally got around to taking it out for the 4th time to find out why no reverse. The 2nd gear drum, which also is used for reverse. The rear band activates locking the drum, activating reverse gears. The band was on the peggs, but still in crooked causing the servo pin to miss and bind. Tranny is bolted in enough for testing, although low on fluid causing erratic operation, I held the brake and it went backwards.

Now to finish rubbing out the paint, install the moulding and the Monty will make it to the Western Meet. HALLAUIA!
