Guest Posted February 17, 2006 Share Posted February 17, 2006 i have a 700r4 transmission and a powerful 350 smallblock, estamated about 400 horsepower. my application is a high performance daily driver, possible weekend racer. any suggestions on a torque converter? jegs has ones ranging from 150-400, just want to know what will be good for my application. thanks. Guest Posted February 17, 2006 Share Posted February 17, 2006 it all depends.......lock up or no lock up?? and what rear end ratio are you running? if you are using a lock up converter, how do you intend on locking it up and unlocking it (usually controlled buy a computer) if you are running a 3.42 or lower (higher numerically) gear ratio, you can run a non lock up (dummy converter). if you give me more info, i can try to help you out. i have done a few 700r4 conversions.
