MGD72Monte Posted June 15, 2011 Share Posted June 15, 2011 Thanks for the research Mark, reading the description of each valve it seems that the 70 valve acts only as a proportioning valve while the 71/72 is a combination valve acting as a proportioning and metering valve which is likely why the 70s need the added step off valve.
