dbreese
Bought a Carter Street Performance pump (M6900) Tried to install it but ran into trouble. The housing won't clear the cross member. Has anyone run into this problem? If so, whats the fix? Thanks! David
Guest
I run a Holley performance pump that flows 110 GPH that has a rotating bottom that was a tight squeeze but it fit. It does'nt share that same design large bottom base size that some of the other designs have. The part number is 510-12-327-11 in Jegs catalog. It also states that it has a 6.5-8 psi preset shutoff. I guess this is like an internal regulator or something???? Jon.
Stick
Has anyone else had any success with the Holley pump Clock recommends? I‘ve tried to install this model but it hits the frame.
Stick
As it turns out the pump barely fits with a little elbow grease. I ended up using a Die grinder on the crossmember and making the clearance comfortable.
Guest
Yeah stick I had to do the same thing to get my Carter high volume pump to fit, but after grinding, smothed it up a little bit then painted it and you can't hardly tell it was grinded on in that area.
