So the grease zero is the safety link from steering or not steering with one wheel! Yikes
-
It is 70 SS, still running 454 and turbo 400

Went from the original 2.56 open to same Yukon 3.42 you are putting in, like a different car, love it. Just have to add a few bucks to the tire and fuel budget!

Thanks Bryan, that all makes sense . Grant

Has anyone done a chassis dyno test on a stock 360 hp 454? AND is it done in 3rd gear WOT? Stock except rear end changed from 2:56 open to 3.42 posi Just something I thought I would try to check if the engine is preforming as it should. What numbers should I be looking for? WAS THINKING OF RUNNING TO 5200RPM I DON't whà nt to blowing it. It is running great, showing 90,000 original miles. Comments, suggestions? Thanks, Grant

I read somewhere , maybe even this site that the scotchlock version was the dealer installed one. That was how my 70 was and it is not on the build sheet so was added later by someone.

I would be interested as well, I can send you a copy of my build sheet if you want to add it to your list

Thanks Dennis, the rest of dampers seem to be working OK so I will see if it holds vacuum before I remove it. Have a great Christmas. Grant

I have a 57 TR3A, or had, gave it to our son as I found it very uncomfortable to dive ( I have back problems). Drive train and mechanical done butstill needs body, paint and interior. It has the electric overdrive and wire wheels, bought it in 1972.

Hi Scott I used Lexan -
Yes I know, never happened. I was at a show and shine and someone looking at my car mentioned that he almost bought one years ago but it had a 4 speed. I said not from the factory, someone must have changed it. How to make a new friend in 30 seconds or less! He huffed off saying there where always some build off the books. Oh well, would love to see one.

Hi Andrew Sent me your mailing address and I will put one in the mail to you. My float looked like a foam cylinder and the paddle pushes through it to get some ajustment as to when you want it to show red. It might ytake a few days for me to find them but don't worry about the cost, glad to help. Grant -
I put a Holley Sniper on my 87 gmc 454 3 years ago and still having problems! Sent it back once and they said it had bent injector pins which they replaced and still runs very inconsistant. Floods when you shut it off hot, coff and sputters maybe 10 mpg fouls plugs. There last sugestion was to drive 500 miles to a service center. I just pulled it off to wrap all the wiring in foil and tape to eliminate some frequincy problems and also rubber coated the bottom of the air cleaner because it can also cause feedback problems. Just about ready to throw the whole works in the garbage. That is my 2 cents worth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I kind of have mixed feelings, love to drive it but hate to see the mileage creep up. No fun sitting in the garage. -
I don't think that is a 70 grill, tabs don't look right

Hi Dan glass beaded and Champagne Mist on the pump and satin black on the tank. That was the closest to the anodized I was able to find. Here is a pic of the pump can. -
I have 2, both I have gone through completely, replaced needed parts both have factory diaphrams and the yellow capson the regulators. Both leak tested and performed as detailed below. #1. 50 psi at 10 min. 100 psi at 20 min. regulator at 118 mfg 169-5 (day 169 1975) #2. 45 psi at 10 min. 70 psi at 20 min. regulator at 110 mfg 113-9 (day113 1969) small dent on tank Price $1200 US each plus shipping, $200 less if you have a rebuildable core with a correct usable tank. let me know if you have any questions. Let me know if you have any questions. the reason I specified factory diaphrams is as most of you know I have been working on making diaphrams from other material which I am still testing so these compressors do not have any experimental parts.
