  1. Yea guess she's going to be immobile for a bit then till I get the right arms. I'm going to buy the rears first and get that out of my way so I have more room...fronts after
  2. Yea I forgot to seam seal it before hand and I had already started painting so I just continued on. I ended up buying some 3m pro seam sealer that actually worked very well to sticking to the epoxy paint I used. Think I should be ok since the paint I used is a epoxy type not your regular type paint. Plus yea I did watch what seams I sealed too. I didn't seal any seams that were on the braces or any seams that let water out going down. I did seal the quarter seams completely but made sure the drain was completely open and free so nothing backs up. Here's what I did to give you guys a idea. I did paint the seam sealer after to hide the color since the 3m stuff says it can be painted. And here is the frame almost in and done last night. Sorry about the dirt that got on my camera lens. Seems to happen every time I go under the car, lol. Going to lower it the rest of the way when I have a few extra hands available to be on the safe side.
  3. Here's the last section of floor done. Only issue I can't address is inside the frame supports and braces. There's got to be a way to get inside them. Plus I need to seam seal all the seams now. What do you guys suggest to use to seam seal?
  4. Yea, I'm going to definitely go tubular on lower. Could I get away with just doing lowers you think since the lowers alter the camber?
  5. I finished the last section of floor pan to paint...yay!
  6. Cool, thanks. I will. I'm only a few weeks out till I'm going to need the suspension
  7. I'm going to be back under the car tomorrow for the long weekend since I'm off sanding and cleaning the rest of it.
  8. They have nice stuff but some of it is out of my price range. I'm trying to keep it cheaper if possible or I'm going to be buying a piece at a time...lol
  9. I'm completely redoing the suspension on my monte after the frames back on so need some help. Guess I should start with letting you guys know what I'm going to do with it. It's mainly going to be more of a weekend racer, weekday cruiser. Trying to get best of both worlds I guess (tough I know). I'm looking for a good spring set (1" lower in front), front/rear sway bars and control arms or a way to make my stock arms better then they are. I already having a good set of bilstein shocks so that's good. I was thinking of going with Delrin bushings on my stock arms and weld some reinforcement plates to strengthen them for deflection from heavy corning too when street used. My stock rears are already boxed. I'd rather get tubular arms but the high expense is stopping me. As for the sways should the rear be larger then the front to help with weight transfer but still keep it stable for street driving? Let me know what you guys think, thanks
  10. I'm in the progress of doing this myself. Still getting the big stuff out of the way like the frame swap and such. But next year hoping to grab a LS2 and a 4l80e (maybe a 6l80e if it can be made to fit). What springs did you use for your swap since a LS engine is lighter then a cast SB 350?
  11. Well looks like progress is halted. Compressor died so got to get it back up and running
  12. Lol..the hours of dust, dirt and over spray all over me
  13. I'm not liking it but figured frames out and might as well
  14. Did this all by hand with wire wheel and scraper on my back...not fun
  15. Ok, now that I'm into it this far I went even farther and started doing the floors too before the frame goes back in Here's the progress, I only got to the rear hump at the rear end. Going to continue on tomorrow more
  16. hand sanding the entire bottom of the car on my back...sweet hu? lol Then prep and paint before the frame goes in
  17. Hey off topic, any of you guys interested in the old frame? It's clean but has some damage to it, and that was the reason I changed it.
  18. lol, I was nervous but it is doable as long as you pull most the weight off the nose. And the steel inner wheel wells help I'm sure with the strength. Here's the pictures of my serious lack of room And the old frame And new frame
  19. Old frame is out and new one is ready, now if the weather will stop raining. And I did successfully get the frame out with the nose on still. Had to make it work since I'm seriously out of room in my garage...lol
  20. Got my new frame painted and ready. Old frame out of car, that was not fun.
  21. That would never fit in my garage...lol
  22. So you had no issue's with the pinch welds getting damaged at all?
