  1. Jeez, That reminds me I have to mount my next badge to the Monte Carlo........ if I can find it !
  2. Looks to me a pretty good start to a Big Block car. I'm not an "in face" type of person , I can't see the pictures. I am thinking about joining though, just for the Market Place side of it.
  3. I have more coming, under the tree is going to look like the SEMA show here!😄
  4. anything with the AMD brand are good. I'd check out Lutty's , they are not too far from us ,so shipping would be less (I think).
  5. Sometimes you wonder just how much of the stuff you need. If I think " 4 of these will do ",I buy 8 and return 1. And when I started seam sealing ,I kept going over the car ,making sure I got it all. My friend Dan was the boss, and if he didn't like it, you'd be doing it over!! Looking good!
  6. Bruce think of all the trim thrown out for stock car racing! That's sad!🙂🙂
  7. A Hot Rod Magazine car for under 50,000.…... Well worth it in my book. mr.jenkins is on YouTube. Look up 733hp Monte carlo, you'll see the motor idling. Very nice. " I could see Mark justa cruisin' man, oh beautiful " ( Dr.Hook)😄😄
  8. Yup, that's the one. I had to " redesign " both sides of mine. The next gent who gets it will like what I did. It should last longer than the sheet metal on the car!
  9. Did anyone notice the tin foil on the fuse block?
  10. I'm hoping that when I get down to Daytona for bike week, I don't bring the cold like we did years ago. Riding in 30 degree weather is not good at all ! Going to try out a 2 week stint and see how we like it there. Lots of cross state riding for sure! Taking the big bike down this year.
  11. My Herculiner looks kinda like what they used at the factory. We sprayed it and used a spatter gun,5/16" nozzle (3/8" hose inside of 1/2gallon glassware with tin top and sealed hole). The only reason I used it on my Monte is mine is a driver, and the roads up here aren't the best (and to protect it). I do have to get under it and pressure wash it every year , check for spots, it was in pretty good shape after we replaced what panels it needed, (rear floor under seat, left side part of the trunk, small area on passenger floorboard. Still looks good after 20 yrs coming up next spring . I would have used the stuff from Eastwood , the semi- gloss that Joe is talking about, but,I would have been fixing it every year for roads around here. I wish they could make the lower body trim out of rebar, it's so bad here on some roads!
  12. Man, the things you clear just from pictures here!! Outstanding!
  13. Your probably going to need some measurements side to side on a good Monte , so you can get it squared up. When those pieces come out the side pops out quite a bit.I don't know if our assembly manual has those measurements. I know when I did the floor under the seats , we had to use a strap/ come along, to get it back into shape.
  14. I don't think I'd try brake fluid for sure. My original one was in good shape..... was until it fell about 3 feet and is now cracked in about 6 places. Leo Konick got me a new one from Muscle Factory, and it is very nice. I would think that SEM products would have something to use on your dash pad. I still have the old one ,just can't seem to toss it out.
  15. Dan,Great story on a BBC 4spd find! Ditto what Joe T said on retirement also! I haven't found where I had the time to go to work either ! Man, wish I knew you were selling that trailer hitch. I could have used it. Where did you find a good tail panel? AMD should buy those dies, and start making this part for the First Gen Monte Carlo's. I had to get one from Illinois way back in '05.
  16. That's good to hear. I've had to call them also on some bushings a while back and no problems getting what I needed as well. I haven't looked up on bushings until now ,and they've come a long way as to what they offer.
  17. That would be Plankton , From SpongeBob Squarepants .....but not in that context for sure!!

Yeah, That's what I was going to do at the start, "just put some wheels and tires on it,then maybe paint it down the road"..... look where that got me!!😀😀
  19. Like I said, totally different driving of your Monte Carlo. I have not done the body bushings..... yet. All suspension is poly.Rear upper control arms aluminum ( at the axle) , just because of the adjustable arms. Mine are still rubber, but only 17 yrs old, and newer technology I'd expect. Holding up good.
  20. I have a nice '72 grille, in a box ,out of the way, I bought it years ago, just in case something happened to mine. I don't know what they go for, but if it's a N.O.S. part, you're going to get what you want for it. Not much of this stuff around anymore. I think mine is used, but nicer than the one in my car.
  21. Saweeet !! That's going to go high on the bid if that information is right. Is that a Pontiac shift ball? Triple black to boot! Mark, this is the one you want for sure!! Drag race the green one, cruise in the black one!
  22. Congratulations to all milestone members!! This means that you enjoy what you see here ,and just can't get enough of it. I've been here since '05, and I'm still having a great time with it! Hopefully see some of you at the Carlisle Mini-meet next June.
  23. I liked when they had the rear window down and we got to smell the exhaust fumes..... Good times!!😄😄😄
  24. The statement is very, very true on this Monte Carlo. I can only think that they had a model car and built it this way, now it's reality? I'd also like the know that backspace of the rear rims.I like the stance and big/ small tire combo. I can remember a set of 15x 10's with a 2 1/2" backspace. Had them take the center out and move it back into the wheel. It looked cool, but that was on a '78 Camaro.
  25. I have a'72 with air. I'm going to see what my assembly manual shows. Is it a 2 wire with a slide on connector? What I mean is you can see the terminals on 1 side of the connector. Very nice looking'72 you have, is that a factory color? Looks like it could be the C.E.C.valve . this was a 2 bbl set-up. Hope this helps.🙂
