Get these gaskets (double check your application) http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FEL-1444/ and tighten good when you put them on then drive it a couple times and retighten and you should be good to go I use the FelPro ones on all headers. They have a steel core with a fiber gasket material around them.
I just went to Autozone and got one of the universal braided kits that are cut to fit and it worked fine. I have Edelbrock fuel injection on my big block...
Finally pulled it out of the trailer and DROVE it!!! I put it in the trailer back in June when we moved and there it sat. Plan to drive it some more today, and maybe drive it to work tomorrow
If you are not going to reuse the old springs, cut away. I use a torch and make 2 cuts in them. A sawzall might work too, but they pop when you cut them Be careful how ever you do them.
I had the same issue with mine, and eventually went and had them balanced on the car... I then marked the hub and the wheel when I took them off and on for other work...
How lean is it? I had a issue when starting out with the FI and it was way too lean at idle.. Mine never gets over 200 with a stock 4 core radiator and stock clutch fan...
I love my BMR parts I have their rear stuff on the Monte, and am going to put the front parts on once I get back on my feet. I have also used their stuff on a 86 Camaro and they worked great on it too.
