  1. Aaron I did the same thing to my fender when I was changing out all 4 wheels and had it on jack stand
  2. I went with an Eaton and 3.42's behind my pretty much stock 402 and love them! A little wound up at 70+ on the highway but not bad around town and on the long back roads. Someday I am going to get a overdrive (not sure which one yet...)
  3. If you switch to a newer 3 wire you need to get rid of the external. From your pictures it looks like someone may have converted it already...
  4. That is a internally regulated 10si 3 wire alternator. The Summit one would work just fine. I would upgrade to the one I posted in the link above if I was doing it. You would just need to change the plug to fit. New at NAPA it was about the same price as the summit one.
  5. Take a look at this thread Alternator Conversion At the end you will see how I did mine, with pictures
  6. Larry is that one of those caps that routes the wires to the right side so you do not have them crossing at the cap?
  7. Nice! I would love to have a 5/6 speed in the Monte!
  8. Wow! I'd think that will get the job done
  9. Stock lugs are 60 degree.

    Cool! Thanks for sharing!
  11. I took some pictures this weekend, but that link has better pictures than I took
  12. Cool I would love 17's but then I would need tires too... What sizes are you running for tires?
  13. Looking good in there!
  14. 245x60x15 all the way around is what I have now. My current ralley wheels are 15x8 with 4" backspacing and are rubbing on the right side...
  15. Yeah Tony that would look cool if they were body color, but not in the cards right now Dave there is this footnote on the wheels Quote: These wheels are designed to be used with 3/4 hex head lugs or smaller. Do you remember what lug nuts you are using?
  16. Because I need more backspacing in the rear I am thinking of new wheels instead of just getting 2 more Ralley Wheels. These are the ones I am thinking of. They are a 15x8 with "4.5 backspacing. Has anyone used the Summit Brand wheels? How do you think the Gun Metal finish will look with my Copper color? They also come in a all Aluminum finish... http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-141-5861GM0/
  17. David seeing as you are a dues paying member, click on the gallery link at the top of the page, then when you get there click on upload photos. Once you upload a photo you can use the links that will be under you photo to copy and paste the link into a message. Let us know if you need more help.
  18. The yoke is different, and yeah you will have to shorten the driveshaft or get one from a Monte that had the TH400. The kickdown on a TH400 is electric controlled by a switch down by the gas pedal..
  19. They show 22.99 at my store, may have to get a set of them this spring.

I think you have to pay extra for the digital edition...
  21. Do you have the NAPA part numbers handy for the calipers, can't find them on their site...
  22. If I remember right look for a manual one out of a S10, at least that is what I used in my '84 Olds Cutlass when we made it a drag only car.
  23. Nice progress! Can't wait to see the finished project.
  24. There is not a torque spec for the rockers, you need to adjust them. Instead of typing it all, see here http://www.classiccarauto.com/impala/how_to/adjust_valves.shtml
  25. I never could get mine off when I painted the door, so I just taped it up
