    Fan Clutch

190 is a good temp for a smallblock. My 402 bigblock runs around 195-200 all the time. If you go too much cooler you will lose efficiency.
  5. I have only seen the original type. You might want to check these out, you do not have to crush them. I used one like it in my 12 bolt when I had them put it together for me. That way I can take it apart if I need to change the seal or yoke. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RAT-4111/
  6. They are on 7th ave just outside of Ybor http://www.3dservice.net/ Good guys to deal with.
  7. I would also suggest talking to a local machine shop and see what they can offer. They are going to need the parts before they do any machine work to the block and heads. My local guy back in FL could just about match the prices I was going to get from Summit and if I had any issues he would take care of me.

    LS2 advise

Start here http://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-hybrids-28/ or over at http://www.chevelles.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=141 There are also a few here that have done the swap (I want to do it someday)

    finally got em

Nice score! I want to put the aftermarket ones in mine with the speakers in them. I think they will sound better than the lame dash speakers I have now
  10. What the heck happened to that fender?
  11. You had a extra space in the sig box, I fixed it. You need to resize the picture on photobucket, as it is a little too big for a sig picture
  12. For your sig you need to use not Code: [image]picture[/image] as for the links if they do not end in .html or .htm the board does not convert them to links for you, so you need to use some address Hope this helps.
  13. Nice runs! Did not get a chance to watch the video yet but will later

    Seats

I did mine years ago and it was not that hard. I wish I had replaced the seat foam and a couple springs. But I think I am going to end up with newer Monte seats in it one of these days.
  15. Wow!! Just think how fast it would go with NOS
  16. Looks good!
  17. Royce mine has been a frame on resto / mod since I got it. I started with the engine and front suspension back when I got it. Cleaned and painted the frame from the firewall forward. Rebuilt the engine to stock specs. Since then I have changed from a Qjet to a Edelbroc carb then to the fuel-injection that is on it. I then had it painted and redid the interior. Next came new parts for the rear suspension and posi/gears. Someday I plan a frame off to go back and make some things better / fix some of the things I may have taken shortcuts on...

    Gear swap?

I have done one about 25 years ago, but it was at tech school where we had all the tools to do it right.
  20. One other thing to check is how long was the bolt, you may need a longer bolt and the threads deeper in the head may be OK
  21. If you want good USA made tubular control arms check out BMR A-Body parts. I have their rear suspension on my car and it is great. I have also used them on a newer Camaro with good results.
  22. If I remember right the neutral switch wire is purple...
  23. Before I went to Fuel Injection and a Mallory Dist I ran the Petronix and it worked great.
