  1. Hey Rodney. Take a look at these on Ebay the item number is 140810114602 these are what you are after and what they need to look like my friend... Darren. PS. You also have to delete some of your PM'S rodney your box is full and I cant send you a PM.....
  2. Hey Rodney, hope this gets posted as i am way out in te middle of no-where with little signal.. Those are NOT boxed... You can buy the inserts and have them welded in and then drill holes for swaybar later or cheat and drill them anyways and add spacers inbetween the arms but would recomend the weld in pieces... Darren.

    Electro Tip Wipers....

Basically it was a Pulse option that gave you the chance to either just pulse swipe the blades across on 1 go and clear off rain or continue it running if you held your finger tip in longer and a quick squirt of fluid rather than turning on the full wiper mode if I am correct but could be wrong....? Darren.

    Electro Tip Wipers....

Hi Tony, Thanks for the input from Team Shovel but I will have to call Poo Poo on them among the various other reasons I left them to come over to FGMCC, that little info falls short as the Electro Tip Wiper option I have was pulled by myself out of a 1970 Cortez silver Monte Carlo that also had Fiber Optics and for a "Chevelle" only option my 70 El-Camino had that option too and then found this in a 1970 Monte Carlo Sales Brochure..... Thanks though Tony and I know it was only what someone else had written and not yourself as I find your wealth of knowledge valuble as others here..... PS. I also love the last Statement line on the brochure after the info.... Darren.

    Electro Tip Wipers....

Hey Paul thanks for the pics. It's actually only the relay that I am after, i see it in my Shop Manual with an illistration but you cant really tell how big it is and what it really looks like without seeing it in person. I know it has a plug in on one end and the other end has a fitting for the feeder hose. No-one repro's that one relay at all and trying to find one is like finding a needle in a hay stack... Thanks again for the pics at least i can more or less see itnow i have to find one then i can install it sooner or later.. Darren.
  7. Hey Randall, Bobs right they have them there and also Tamraz if I'm not mistaken... Darren.
  8. I recognise That type of car...... Its a no wait a minute... Yeah yeah yeah, its a chevelle.. Darren.

    Electro Tip Wipers....

YEAH BABY.... Just noticed this was the 10,000 Topic Posted.... Yeah !!!!!!!!!!! Darren..
  10. Supposedly this is the Rarest option out there... Does anyone have this option on their monte as it was only offered in 1970 and was dropped half way through the year.... I have some questions for the guy who has one installed.. as I have the wireing and Lever but am missing some stuff.... Thanks Darren.
  11. Hey Willie that is a great clean up job... Well done..Extra door pin holes well those are rare indeed, if they look factory and are just like the ones that the factory pins are already in, then they are for another set of door pins that would accomidate wiring for Factory Power Seat Back Release. they were an option just as rare as Electro tip wipers that when the doors open it sends a signal to an actuator that popsthe seat back release instead of pushing the seat back button on the back of the seat. I will look for pics on dash and wiring install but in the meantime hopefully someone else might pop them up..... Darren.
  12. Hey Willie. That one is WAY better.!!! wires look complete with no cuts or fixes, and that fuse block looks great... DONT throw away that old harness as it always pays to keep the old one incase someone or your self needs a swap out wire then you have factory wires and the right gauge and color to do so... Looks like someone Tagged the wires as well as to where they go too... if not let me know a color and amount of wires and will try to say where they go. You can still make out on your old fuse block what each of the fuses are for as your new one is faded right off.....If you were going to add underdash courtesy lights now would be a good time to do so as it's easier to tie in with the harness and dash out and the ease of reaching those door pin wires to connect the white wire to them is way easier this way..... Darren.
  13. Okay for some reason My Iphone was showing the whole FGMCC website and the complete Forum list but now for the last week it doesnt show the Top Catagories on it only from the Engine Tech section down...?????? Darren.
  14. I thought the back up light wires were Light Green and the other was Pink and yes on the Neutral wires being Purple and the other Purple with White stripe down it..????? Darren.
  15. Ok guys I am drawing a blank here..... 1970 chevelle 454 4spd car Has Factory 12 bolt rear end and correct M21 and correct Factory size tires as seen in picture so correct Bias Ply tires... Speedo says I am going 50 miles per hour when in actual fact I am going 65mph..??? Speedo does not jump or bounce and registers normally when I pull away so there is no delay in increase speed registering. The speedo makes no unusual noises nor does the cable while driveing I have had them shot in the past to know what they sound like when cooked.......So I am stumped... The only thing I can draw here is the Speedo is shot possibly.??? The speedo in our cars run like a sprung magnetic gear I think I recall..... any input here guys would help.???? Darren.
  16. Hey Shawn it shows Pink and Blue for the SS 454 LS-5 car in Van Nuys and Joseph's to be Blue and Black for a TH400 and Brown and Pink for TH350 cars... Maybe that BK Joseph is suppose to be a PK ???? Darren.
  17. Joseph, What GM Plant was your Monte made at ??? as GM used different paint stripes for different Plants... Yes that does sound weird but I have a Huge list of GM plants and it shows different strip colors for the year and the amount for the shafts and the width of the stripes too..... here is a small example that I just cut and pasted for now. An Arlington driveshaft stripe set was measured as such: Stripe #1 - 9.5-in from weld behind front U-joint and 5/8-in wide (first color) Stripe #2 - 1/4-in from stripe #1 and 1/4-in to 5/16-in wide (second color) Stripe #3 - 1/4-in from stripe #2 and 5/8-in wide (first color) An Oshawa driveshaft stripe set was measured as such: Stripe #1 - 17 3/4-in from weld behind front U-joint and 1/4-in wide Stripe #2 - 1/2-in from stripe #1 and 1/4-in wide Stripe #3 - 1/2-in from stripe #2 and 1/4-in wide And also some of the colors for example at the Lakewood Plant in Atlanta... M38 Blue-Black M22 Pink-Blue M40 Green-Orange Darren.
  18. Thanks Dan, I didnt get shots of all of us together but here is a bunch of random shots that I got... Vaughn and Kathie got some real good ones hopefully they post them.... Darren.

Hey Mark, your right. The front ones have the bottom hole pre existing which really helps as you can remove the rubber gaurd to be able to see through the center and the second hidden bolt hole and mark the bumper as to where it goes through that now open gap when aligned. You can temporarely bolt the guard on via that pre existing mounting hole just to the outside of the ovaled upside down triangle where the front licence plate would have gone. Once the guard is mounted you can kind of line it up straight by standing back and useing the grates in the grill to help you get them aligned on both sides straight and mark through the guard with a pen and remove and drill but for sure Center Punch the mark and drill slowly as if you dont Center Punch the drill will take off and skid across the finish face of the bumper and instint grey hair comes in lol... The rears are more tricky as there are no pre existing holes but a tape measure and duct tape will come in handy to help square and line things up.... Darren.

Not much of a template but here are 2 diagrams anyways even if they dont have measurements....will keep looking too. Darren.
  21. Hey Deon I hope this helps...?? The colors are as follows to help too. Purple & Purple/White are the Neutral switch Light Green & Dark Green are the reverse lights Grey is the console shifter lens illumination wire Black is the ground at the front of the console where it bolts to floor. Orange is the power supply to the rear console lamp on the left side of contact White is the opposite contact side to the rear console lamp. I have the dash wiring harness diagram if needed and is also 3-4 pages.... Darren.
  22. Hey Deon, welcome to the site and our great club. When you get a chance post in our new memebers section and intro yourself fully as we have lots of great memebers here with lots of help but it is great for us to get to know you as well as just answer's....... That being said, every Monte and chevelle came pre-wired in the factory dash harness incase further down the assembly line buckets and console were added then a plug n play 2 piece console harness was added or at the dealership too. With the proper console harness everything you will need is in the harness and shifter with the New location for the reverse and safety nuetral switch location. When i get in later or if someone beats me to it I have pictures and diagrams of the console and harness and color codes for the wires that I can post.. Stay tuned and once again welcome to the madness Darren.
  23. Well took the Chevelle out to a Show n Shine and snapped a picture before we all went all included were,Vaughn,Roy,Keith,Pat,Liam and myself plus the Mrs's... Darren.
  24. Hey Mike, Did you have any luck with the gauges ??? It most likely is a ground as long as your main rectangle plug on the back is completely pushed in. Darren. PS... Also started a new thread with lots of pics and info on tach and gauges if that helps under General at the top of our Forum list under Tach n gauges.
  25. Hey Scott, If you still have your factory wireing harness in the car the 2 1/2 inch plastic track that runs under the carpet from front to back should have a Orange and Black wire hidden in there and is already the right length and should unfold out of that sleeve and poke up through the carpet and come out just under where the seat would be and is for Power buckets or power bench seat..GM prewired all cars not knowing weather each chevelle or monte got power seats in some form or not so added the wire to all and then it got poked through if it got power seats.. Darren. The ground wire can simply ground out on one of the nuts that hold down the bucket seat....
