  1. Lube it up good before installing, most of the problems with o-rings is damage installing them, especially square cut o-ring seals.
  2. Looks nice Jim, once you get some weight in it some of the sway will go away. I assume you'll be getting the equalizing type hitch for it, that will help.
  3. Mine is a a 3 line tank, built in LA and sold to dealer in long beach Ca. Sold to customer in Long beach. Still original fuel lines.
  4. Don't look to close at my car then. It was painted by a guy that has no idea what he's doing 😅 ME but it looks better than it did before.
  5. I belive the 71 hood had the bigger hole for that hood spear. I have a 72 hood on my 71 but neither had or has hood spear. The 72 hood had a spear on it but I covered the holes because I didn't want hood spear with the cowl hood I built.
  6. My brother and I put the 4 speed trans back in my 65 gto on Christmas day one year in the snow. We also pulled the 409 out of his 64 impala ss in the yard, it came out the bottom 😳 luckily neither of us got hurt. The crazy stuff we used to do eh.
  7. Coming along very nicely 👌
  8. That is a fact, sometimes I struggle with English 🤣
  9. I did the same thing on my pass side door. You may want to clean up the rust a bit before putting that stuff on. I have noticed some crusty looking stuff when I opened the pass door last year. So I think I'll probably have to do some further repair to it next time I have door off for anything. My pass door don't get used very often like just once a year at the nationals usually. Can't hurt to get rid of any rust.
  10. Seems like mine had some kind of washer in there, possibly felt maybe I don't really remember but I could look tomorrow. I'd be sure to check all the nuts to make sure they all got tightened correctly.
  11. Aftermarket parts better than original 😅 must be not made in china
  12. Ditto to what Dennis said, take care of yourself Paul the car will still be there.
  13. I removed mine completely. I can't say I've ever seen it that way but I really don't pay that much attention to them.
  14. We will probably be doing cavalcade of cars in March again. Was a good success and a lot of fun. We'll post dates and other info at a later date.
  15. Have to pull tank and sending unit and look at it then look in tank to see what it liiks like. Possibly a borascope in through gas tank neck not sure how that would work.
  16. Yes i have if there's any rust or debris in tank can plug up strainer.
  17. Welcome to the site, good luck with your search.
  18. Mine does that too when I wash it with water, think they all do. Blow it out so it don't sit there for long or take it out for a ride to dry it off. I don't use water on mine very much just dust it off or use some detail spray.
  19. I may still have the solenoid off of my 2 barrel, I'm not sure if they are the same. I removed it when I went to 4 barrel. I'd have to look.
  20. 100 percent!!! Yes I'll have a few beers while working on car but if you have a few drinks DON'T DRIVE!!!
