  16. I have 2 woodgrain overlays for sale. As you can see in the photos, the lower one is much darker/richer color than the other. This one also has the rear defrost opening (I believe that's what it is) The lower one is excellent, no rust or bubbling, the top one has some rust on the backside. both have all their tabs and are structurally very good. Asking $65 for the lower one with defrost opening and $45 for the upper one with some rust only on backside. Shipping can be negotiated. Thanks , Murphy
  17. I've made the decision to sell my Monte, she was a 3 rebuild project. Asking price $19,500. Breakdown of the car; Fuel system - new gas tank, sending unit, fuel pump, Edelbrock AVS2 carburetor - all new parts Braking system - Rebuilt all 4 wheels, front discs with new rotors pads & bearings and brake line hose, new rear drums with new shoes & spring kits Suspension - new front shocks, tie rods, ball joints, center link, control arm bushings, front springs are original but one ring cut off to lower the front end by 1.5", rear air shocks and rear sway bar 1"added. Electrical - installed gauge package, removed the clock and installed a tach, added under dash light package Drive train - original SB 350 which was 'overhauled' by previous owner, .030 over which makes her 355ci. engine is tight no leaks, long tube headers with flowmaster mufflers, edelbrock intake manifold, pertronix distributor. M20 Muncie rebuilt trans (from a 70 corvette), driveshaft rebalanced with new U-joints, high performance clutch (forget which brand) pedal kit with firewall assembly, new Hurst SuperShifter kit with correct tunnel hump welded in. Currently has original 2.73 non-posi 12-bolt rearend. I have purchased a posi differential with 3.55 gear set but has not been installed but goes with the car and new diff cover. The entire bottom of the car has been painted twice with black POR15. AC system - cleaned and converted to 134a refrigerant, haven't tested this year but was cold last year. Body - was repainted in the mid 90's with correct "Burnt Orange" paint and all rusted areas was addressed at that time, wheel wells mostly, no body damage. New vinyl top installed at that time. When I got the car, the drivers floor board was full of small holes, I had an expert restorer replace the drivers floor, we drilled out spot welds and install factory correct panel, a small patch was also installed under the back seat on passenger side. I painted (2 coats) POR15 on the inside floor and installed sound deadener kit (FatMat I think). Trunk interior has been spray twice with correct paint. New replacement plastic front wheel wells. Installed new carpet, RetroSound radio with 4 speakers, original headliner, door panels, and dash pad (no cracks) I sold the bench seat and recovered and installed highback buckets from a 1976 Z-28, recovered the rear seat, installed a new console, also equipped with a tilt wheel (factory) the interior really looks like new. My own personal touches are a set of 69 Nova SS hood louvers, 72 Monte rear trim, chin spoiler, new rearview mirror. Trunk has the original jack case and tools. I've acquired several repair manuals including GM manuals. I've replaced the steering wheel with the GM sport wheel. I have hundreds of photos which will go to the new owner also. The original parts also go with the car....valve covers, air cleaner, distributor, intake & exhaust manifolds. I have all the original paperwork when the car was purchased new to include the manuals, protecto-plate and 50 years of receipts. I'm sure I've forgotten other things so email with any questions. 19. Thinking about it, wanting to free up space for other wood working projects. She's a great car, but unsure of how to price it. Been searching various sites for other Monte's and am really surprised of what some asking prices are as per their condition. They might look good from 20 feet away but when you see the interior or engine bay, its trash...
