  8. Jared.. it's N20 two nitrogen.. one oxygen it's more stable then pure 02 i plan on 'squeezing' another tenth outta my car this summer ~
  9. ok allan.. kinda what I thought.. but I ran out of time to try it. i have a file share setup on the laptop, and from his machine I can login and access it fine.. but I can't even ping his machine, let alone connect to it to use the printer share
  10. I didn't think to check the AV software... It has McAfee installed..
  11. ok.. here's the network setup.. XP is on a WIRED connection to the router another XP machine, and my Vista Laptop are on the wireless side. I can connect from my laptop to the wireless XP just fine.. the wired XP ignores me. I can't even ping or tracert it. the wired XP machine CAN connect to my laptop just fine allthough slow.. how can I figure out if this is the router being stupid, or the XP machine firewalling me? it says the firewall is turned off in the firewall control in the control panel... my laptop communicates with my XP machine at home ok so I dont' think it's a problem with the laptop.. unless being in different workgroups is a problem. in my linksys router at home, I have it specificlly setup to block windows file and print sharing via the wireless interface.. i can't find anyhting like that in this AT&T router.

wow.. I run 9.12's in the 1/8... with a SMALL block.. LOL ~~
  13. you really should upgrade your ram to 3.0gb or the limit of the computer. which ever is less.. XP can't use mroe then 3.. so no reason to go higher..
  14. bruce.. how fast is your computer? how much ram? what o/s? you might be able to throw a cheap upgrade at it and get some more time out of it.. Leo was having a lot of problems with his computer, trying to run windows XP on on 512mb of ram.. we maxed his computer out to 2.0gb (all his machine would support) for $50, and it got a LOT better (along with some basic maintaince like a good defrag)
  15. network security is like car security.. you can only do so much.. if someone really wants thru bad enough, they will find a way. I try to stop the 'script kiddies' and leave it there.
  16. i've been real happy with AVG Free Edition allan.. I use a "hardware" firewall so I'm not worried about trusting windows to be a firewall for me...
  17. my seat adjuster thingy is broken anyway...
  18. a) norton SUCKS. it's a hardcore system resource hog.. (not that McAFee is much better) if you have comcast, that's your problem. Comcast and youtube dont' get along well.. I have all kinds of problems with youtube videos not loading well on comcast.
  19. my seat has only one position...all the way back.. if someone needs it in any other position... oh wait.. nobody else is allowed to drive my monte.. problem solved. LOL
  20. Yep.. Leo can fix the column, he has the linkages you need too. I installed a hurst Pro-MAtic 2 floor shifter in my monte, I build a little platform out of 1/8" thick steel stock and put legs on it so I had a flat surface that was level to attach it to. since mine is a for 700r4, it requires a hole, or a dimple under the shifter for the ratchet mechanisum to stick out the bottom in Low-1.. so I took the 4 bolts, and welded their heads to the plate so that the shifter sits about 3/16" off the plate.. and that gave me the room I need, plus a really simple way to mount it... this is one pic of the base. (I was using a flux core welder, so it was messy) http://home.comcast.net/~kc8oye/transmission/shifterbase1.jpg shifter installed on the base.. (the base is welded to the floor) http://home.comcast.net/~kc8oye/transmission/shifter.jpg
  21. I ran dual Thrush glasspacks (similar to cherry bomb) and the car was painfully, and intolerably loud. (exhaust dumped infront of the rear axle tho) now I have dynomax ultra flows and they pipes go all the way to the rear bumper!
  22. i've heard that with 700r4's it's not that too difficult to reach a point where the aluminum case becomes the weak link..
  23. i had my 700r4 built locally.. other then a reccuring issue with the valve body it's been a solid trans so far..
  24. i can get pics for ya tomorrow jared.. i think leo has the correct set of brackets free.
