JUBAL
Does anyone know a source for the stock size (2.5") and bends of a big block Chevelle or MC using the chrome stock tips? No one lists them except aftermarket and they don't have the correct bends from what I see. Thanks.
monte70car
Have you looked at the parts books for the stock exhaust? The stock system would have been more around the 2.25" range if not 2". The 2.5" would have been at the resonators for the tips to fit on. No more sells just the resonators you have to buy a complete system. Here is a stock OEM system from ss396.com for a Chevelle http://www.ss396.com/chevelle/XSA-68B-KIT.html here is the chamber exhaust you'll notice at the end of the tail pipe it the resonator I was talking about earlier http://www.ss396.com/chevelle/XCE-301K.html . There is one company http://www.gardnerexhaust.com/ they build OEM style exhaust not cheap. Here is their 70-72 Chevelle kit http://www.gardnerexhaust.com/1970-chevelle-exhaust-system.html
JUBAL
No one even lists the stock exhaust pipe replacements. NAPA does not; Walker does not make them; Dynomax made them at one time but no more. I can have them made but they do not get all of the bends correct. Yes, 2.5 at the resonators is what I was referring to.
