  1. Picture is the shoulder strap to lap belt connection.
  2. Good advice. I grew up in the time of seat belts going completely unused, no helmet for riding your bike, etc... Considering the safety differences between our Montes and newer cars we are taking a risk everytime we drive them! Maybe I should reconsider installing the shoulder belts.
  3. The pictures I posted earlier in this thread are the standard (non-deluxe) belts. I had a '72 Custom with a bench seat and deluxe belts. They were the same type of design. On my current car I did not reinstall the shoulder belts during the restoration. They are cumbersome to use and get caught in the door jamb/sill if you're not careful. I figure if they are not installed I have a chance of not getting a ticket!
  4. Thanks. Yes, it is a '72 Caprice. Found it on ebay in Nov. '07. All original with 49K mile. Only alteration was the addition of the Corvette finned wheel covers.
  5. Freshly restored interior with all new PUI interior and color change from pewter to black.
  6. Completed chassis ready for body.
  7. October 2004 pic of body back on the chassis. Sure hated to cover up all the hard work in restoring the frame, fuel & brake lines, and suspension/driveline.
  8. August 2007 underhood shot with just a few detailing items yet to be complete.
  9. My 72 had the decal placed horizontally (reading position) on the a/c box surface closest to the engine. In the 2nd pic of the 454 above it would appear just above the air cleaner snorkle. No way of knowing if this was the original position but can't imagine why someone would have moved it.
  10. We had a new 72 Monte Carlo when I was kid. Didn't have the decals. If you look at Year Ones catalog it indicates that they where on late 60's Chevelles.
