Sorry, forgot to quote ya..
On Big Red, can you adjust both ride height and make it super stiff independently? So here's what I'm thinking IF I can adjust both...these are rated for 1900-2100lbs. Which is an estimate on my front end. Stock iron headed BB is 2128lbs.
Yes, ride height and stiffness can be adjusted. The ones you have a link to are single adjustable from what you are describing i would look into double adjustable shocks for even more refinement.

These coils are for 68-72 A bodies...with no info on spring rate.
Question on the coilovers...they adjust for height but do they also adjust for stiffness?
You can get different spring rates with the coilovers from drag racing to road course and every in between. Also get the double adjustable shock and get infinite adjustability.
Here is a pic of the springs in "Barn Find" the spring rates should be on the moog website.

Welcome Pete! Next to a true SS the 402 cars are the next desirable ones. They basically could be optioned like an SS only with less cubes. We have 2 71 402s in our stables an auto and a factory 4speed. Good luck on your decision.

Welcome Cory! Nice looking 72 you and dad purchased.

Worse case scenario, you need 12v to the switch going in and a wire on the other terminal to the kickdown terminal of the transmission.

What rear end are you using? The 12 bolt has a longer pinion than a 10 bolt. Also the u- joint is made by a few companies. It used to be called a "trick" joint by Lakewood. Moog also makes it, I believe it's called a "combo" joint. It has the 350 big caps and the 400 small caps.

My 70 "Big Red" has the seat belt pockets on the console.

I guess it may be time to start to figure out where "Big Red" is and see what, if anything she may need after a LONG winters nap. 🤔

Welcome Kevin! Do you know the original color combo to your new acquisition? What engine/trans combo?

Dan aka Overdrive fabricates the brackets. They are a work of art. I have them on "Big Red" absolutely beautiful!

Yes Joe, you are correct, I hate the flowjunk mufflers. Lol. I personally like and recommend the ultraflo mufflers. Way quieter and all the cars in F.A.S.T. run these mufflers. They flow way better. BUT... like you said, to each their own choice.
Here's a quick video. Doesn't really do the mufflers justice. Quiet inside, little roudy outside through tailpipes.

Yes. Floor or column shift. I cannot say for sure on a 4 speed (or 3 speed) but I would assume so. It was installed for safety and security. I was all part of the plan when the ignition key was moved from the dash to the column.
A 4 or 3 speed manual on the floor also has the "back drive" it locks the column and shifter when the key was removed. Factory theft deterrent.
