  1. Sorry for the loss of your grandfather. We all know how life comes first as well as the loved ones still with us.

Congratulations on your marriage and house purchase.

Do not hesitate to ask questions, vent or whatever else you may need. There are a lot of helpful people here. We are here for you or whoever needs us.

  2. We have always had good success with headman headers for a small block. That is what we used on our "Covid" Monte. Although upon closer inspection these may be hooker. Either way you can use a standard length sparkplug with both. Maybe Kevin will see this (Owner of the "Covid" Monte presently) and clarify what make they are.

Those bushings are designed to be a press fit. There's no way I would turn them down. With the violence of suspension movement during use, it's likely those are going to work their way out during operation. In fact, when I got my current '72, one of the upper bushings wasn't fully seated.

Super agree. The bushings are going to move now.

  4. I always removed the bushings on the rear with a BFH. (Big F@#$&;g Hammer) they also make puller/ installers for the bushings.

As far a s a bent bracket, ? How do you have the car supported?  I usually have jack stands under the frame, near the forward position of the rear lower control arm. Then use a floor jack to hold the rear/ move the rear as needed.
