  1. its on the passenger side and if its the original plug on the original engine..its gonna be hard as hell to get out. Get and aftermarket intake, there will be a plug on ther to use!!!

  3. hey thats wierd... i have the same headers, jus not jet coated and mine fit with no problems. I have to use short plugs but other that that, no problems or clearance issues...Im going to change to a set of Hooker comp's pretty soon, I ve heard good things about them. try those or some dougs headers, but their expensive tho!!! ahhh my 100th post....thats cool now all I have to do is get a picture of my car on here!!!!!!!!
  4. cam specs on the 454...im not sure of but it idle regular so the cam cant be to far from stock. it has and edlebrock rpm intake and i have brand new 600 cfm edlebrock carb and the stock q-jet on the 454 which I might jus leave on there. As for my rear end....right now its the stock one tire fire with those good old 2.73's out back. not sure when ill be upgrading that old thing! mabye around tax time next year!!!!
  5. thanks guys for gettin back to me...you all have made my decision a lil bit eaiser..so my next question is should I go with a higher stall converter or stay stock?
  6. Hey guys heres a question for yall! I have a 72 monte with a th350 which has been rebuilt about 5 months ago but only has been driven about 15 miles since the rebuild due to the fact that the engine is gettin ready to go. A friend has a great running 454 eh wants to sell me and I was wondering first of all would the 454 bolt up to the th350 and if so what other changes besides motor mounts would I have to make to complete this swap?
  7. thanks to all who offered advice, you are all hella cool!!!! Well It actually turned out to be the the shift linkage was out of adjustment, the funny hting was that with it out of adjustment, it moved thegear selector over to the point to where the word park still lined up with the lil red line...but yeah not its all workin fine guys!!!
  8. the gear shift goes all the way to the park position but the ignition still wont turn all the way to the lock position. im not sure what to do
  9. I got my rebuilt tranny (th350) in to the car and got every thing hooked back up, Filled her with tranny fluid. Started the car up and she ran fine. Took it out for a road test, jus a few blocks, long blocks, got back home, checked for leaks found none, checked fluid level again and it was fine So now I cant get my key out of the ignition switch, its seems as if the ignition wont rotate all the way back to the lock position to allow removal of the key. Whats up with that? Its a coloum shifted th350 in a 72' monte...Help!!!
  10. mine rusted under the chrme trim behind the front wheels, under the vinyl top, the trunk floor and didi i mention behind all the chrome trim......and especially that strip of metal that runs along the bottom of the rear window..i need a new one of those....and bellive it or not ..IM out west....whats up with that?...good luck!!
