I’d be willing to make the trip to Carlisle if someone had a dash for sale.
Sounds like it’s the typical Chinese syndrome, quality isn’t there.
im pretty sure mine is missing brackets and reinforcements that are suppose to be there from the factory, I was hoping a new one would have everything included. I guess I’ll keep an eye out for a used one.
Where can I get the cups to repair the area where the radio shafts go through?
John, one of our members, Steve Demers has a lot of used and NOS Parts for Monte's. He almost always has a parts vendor spot in the vendor area during every Eastern Meet. If he knows of a special part someone wants that normally he would not bring to Carlisle he will make it a point to bring it. He, Dennis, Leo and Jared, who all sell many parts will also be coming to our Eastern Meet and may be able hook you up at the Eastern Meet. I have sent you a Private Message.
I will do anything to get more members registered to attend our Eastern Meet. Never even hint you may come "IF"...... because it won't slip past many of our members. If you decide to come you could be member 79 or maybe even 80 or who knows, member 90. Even though only one room remains in the host hotel but I have also secured a contract at another hotel for an additional 15 rooms. On top of that, I will start a waiting list for rooms at our host hotel in case our hotel gets any cancellations outside our block of rooms and give our club first choice at these cancelled rooms.
If anyone has a trashed dash backing with damaged radio shaft cups and replacement cups maybe we could have a seminar in the club canopy to show people how to do these repairs. I would suspect some people would use the super glue and baking soda trick to attach the new cups to a damaged dash

The First Generation Monte years were 1970 to 1972. Speaking of 72, in 72 days and a wake-up our members will start arriving at the Fairfield Inn to kick off our clubs 25th Eastern Meet.

Dennis, that is the same tire brand I have. My only complaint is how well they handle at higher speeds on a highway with a lot of curves. She feels like they want to break free as I wind through those bends.

Back to Aaron's wheels. I personally like them better than the Rally's
Larry, knowing your car it does not surprise me that you would like Aaron's wheels and that is OK. That is what makes us here so great, different tastes without dissing someone's ride. I personally like the "Stock" look.

White letter tires too...makes it 8-10 modifications potentially.
Hummmm I had never considered Raised White Letters as an alteration but if Joe thinks we should.....Hummmmm. we have always allowed radials as a safety allowance.

Let's see, would that be just one deviation from factory correct or would it be 4 deviations???? How about the spare?

That's great I saw Ryan has the car up and running hopefully he's able to bring it.
Yes, I sent him an email a few days ago. I told him he is coming due fir a 10 year Anniversary Award. The plan is, on Friday around lunch time, to present everyone due Anniversary Awards their awards in the Club Canopy.
It is Ryan's hope to be able to bring his Monte if it is running well enough. Ryan has already reserved one of the last two available rooms bringing us down to only one remaining room at the host hotel.

Don't own sandals or those croc things , I do own a pair of flip flops for the beach tho.
Back when I was a kid and living in Florida, Flip-Flops were called Thongs.... That is before people were wearing Thongs of another kind on the beach.

Happy Easter to everyone. I'm going to have an Easter egg hunt. I'll hide them tonight after I get good and high and see if I can find them in the morning 🤪😅🤣 hopefully I remember to look.
Too Funny Steve, I remember when I was a kid, our parents hid hard boiled easter eggs around our house for the 4 of us kids to find the next morning. We thought we had found some of them but a couple months later "Something Is Rotten In Denmark"!!!!! Well not Denmark but definitely somewhere in the hallway leading to the bedrooms. It took awhile to find the offending egg. One of our parents had hidden one in the hallway linen closet under all of the towels and wash cloth's. Everything in the linen closet had to be washed at least twice to get rid of the odor.
