Getting them both ready for Carlisle. Also added an inline shutoff valve on the 5/8” heater hose off the manifold to eliminate heated air entering the cabin in the 72.

Thank you for all the replies. A shutoff valve has been placed inline on the 5/8” hose off the manifold. No leaks. No warm air. AC is back to cooling the cabin as designed.
On to Carlisle !

When I had my AC hooked up back in 2012 I had the same problem with heat coming in thru the heater vents Could never find out how to fix it so I had a valve put in the heater hose that I have to manually turn off in the summer or my AC does not cool off the car at all.
Can you show a photo of that setup?

I am getting warm air through the vents of the 72. Heater door opens and closes properly, temp control lever works. Wondering if this setup on the 72 would fix that

My 70, which I’ve picked up recently are the pictures in the original post. My 72 has nothing inline on the hoses. The overarching issue is that I am getting warm air through the vents of the 72. Heater door opens and closes properly, temp control lever works. Wondering if this setup on the 72 would fix that

Anybody with a 70 explain this setup in the heater hoses.? What it controls, how it operates? My 72 does not have this. TY

Took the rear seat out out of the 70 and to Williams Custom Tops & Interiors in Langhorne, PA. Build Sheet was removed with no damage and in one piece. Now sitting for a few days in a folder flattening under shop manuals.

TY Seat is in perfect condition. BUT, I called the interior guy who recently put a new vinyl roof on my 72. He said he would remove the hog ties, get it out and replace the hog ties. Taking it up there Friday Morning. Will advise.

Build Sheet found in the back seat of my 70, all there, but wrapped around the seat frame. Any suggestions ?

Looking to replace the Fuel Tank Sending unit in my 72. Anyway to tell from the Engine Compartment if the car has the 3/8' line with no return, or if it has the 3/8' line with the 1/4" return? It is a Van Nuys Car.

Aaron, that may be reflective of the timeframe of when the article was done. Rob and Sam may be able to let us know how long ago that was.
