  1. I meant there were no wires disconnected.
I Have not lost any brakes, or bled any.
the rakes all seem totally fine, stopping the same as always. I haven’t taken it out and stood on it to see if all 4 are locking up but it does seem normal.
Basically everything was replaced except for the proportioning valve about 15 years ago.   I know, should have done it then

it seems as if I probably need to replace the valve at this point

Those are the only 2 points that should trigger that light. If you don't see any wires going to either switch, somewhere there's a short to ground. Maybe those tan wires are hidden somewhere and finally rubbed against something metal to complete the circuit? That's my first guess, without getting into deeper issues like dash circuit board, or wiring harness faults.

Kind of what I thought with only a couple reasons.    It is bugging me and I keep them there is an issue now

  3. What are the common causes for the interior brake light to be on?
    Brake fluid is full,

Park brake is released and plunger is fully depressed.

Don’t see any wiring off of proportioning valve or e-brake

It just started at Carlisle, and it does dim slightly, but can’t figure it out.  I know someone here can point me in the right direction

    Thanks as always

    Welcome!   Great looking Monte!

  5. I don’t post a lot here anymore, and promised some of the newer members that I met this weekend that I would attempt to get back to it.
I have a good bit of pictures I posted on Facebook, but I know some of you aren’t on there.  Really enjoyed ourselves as always, seeing the usual crew, and meeting some new ones.  Alli, the kids, and I all look forward to it every year, and this year didn’t disappoint

i only got the first gen pics, apologizing to Bob and Joe for not getting pictures of their award winning Monte’s also

I left the engine bay pics out to conserve some space here!

Tony, such mixed feelings about this.  I know it is not what you want to do but I admire you "taking one" for the family.  We all have to do what we need to do to support those we love.  Anyone who knows you, and Alli, know how dedicated you are both to each other an those beautiful kids.  For those who know you are aware of the sacrafices you have both made in the name the love for the family.  You are one of my hero's.  I am one of the people who has placed their butt in a chair at your dinner table and made to feel like one of the family.  Hang in there, hopefully better thigs are on the horizon.

Rob I appreciate this.   Many of the FGMCC are family to us.  It’s a shame we all are so spread apart in distance.  Always welcome at our table, as many are.  We truly do look at you as family , which is all that really matters to us, family

  8. Well, my Tech Rep position was short lived. Started in January as a way out of the day to day painting activities.

Due to Covid, I got furloughed in March. As of July 1 my position was eliminated.

I have tried the paint company route, noone is hiring, positions are slim as the technical aids are being called on less due to body shops being slow.

Thankfully I didnt burn any bridges with the company I used to work for. I asked about returning, and they were happy to have me back. Not at the old location, because I would never return there again. New one is abut 1/2 hour away, not a big deal. I had several offers to go back to painting, and I basically picked the best situation for me and my family. So, unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, Im back in the booth as of Monday. Back where I am most comfortable anyway, until I find a way out, this will be it for me!

Doing what I have to do for my family, and the almighty health care benefits! (used to be the almighty dollar!)

Its been a strange year for sure, happy I have this to fall back on!

a brief note...liquor stores here in NJ  are deemed essential and will not cut hours and staff... official  release was "due to the fact they sell beverages which are critical to keeping us  healthy and hydrated"   OK-as the song goes 'whatever gets you thru the night...'

Funny, state run liquor stores are closed in Pa, but Beer Distributors are open! Those of you who arent from Pa, until recently you were not able to buy beer other than from a beer distributor or a bar in 6 packs.

Finally we got up with the times, much easier to get beer now, I guess thats why they allowed the distributors to stay open, seeings how you could get beer at most supermarkets now

  10. Well, Im still working, somehow my job has been deemed essential! Im happy for that, although Ive been cut to a 4 day week for now, and 20% pay reduction to match. That combined with the 25% I took to get out of the paint booth really stings. Alli is not working right now due to her latest chemo treatment to keep her autoimmune disease in check. That means I need to be real careful to not bring anything home as she has zero immune system. I visit plenty of shops on a weekly basis and its getting difficult to go to any of them with the restrictions in place. Kids are home from school till further notice, which is a good thing with all we have going on here we dont need them germs coming home. As others have said,  we are laying low, keeping our distance, and just trying to get through this. The way people have hoarded things up around here is pretty bad, but we are in a good neighborhhood, and everyone is looking out for each other. Thankful for what we have, and its only a matter of time and this will be behind us,

Hang in there everyone, we are hoping this is behind us sooner than later
