Well, you have 5 months to find a Monte to either purchase,  or paint green before Carlisle. Better hurry,  time is flying by..😁.

I wonder if the guy who owns the Monte of the pictures ive been posting will let me rent it for a weekend ? 🤣 See I'm already expecting the next round accusations 🤣

That a boy Mark, then they cant tease you anymore!!!

At least it won't be called the "imaginary" Monte 🤣But Dennis is right, the chop busting will never end, and I'm ok with that

He was talking about the car, not you.

Guess I wasn't specific 🤣 Don't think I'll get away with using my Monte registration on the truck this year. So YES the plan is to bring the imaginary Monte this year 🤣

I don’t think anyone would want to see a bunch of old farts in a cage. I don’t think it would be as entertaining as what Glen posted. Unless the use of canes would be allowed as we knock out dentures.

I'l have to put down my beer and cigarette, I'll be like a fish outta water 🤣

  6. Since my Monte is in hibernation having some time to work on the Cougar. Ya know, all those little things that always take a back seat to other priorities 🤣 Its on jack stands because I'm replacing the 2 negative battery cables ya bunch of haters 🤣

Had a primo detailer ( he's done some of my friends MUCH nicer cars) do a test patch where I burned the paint with a car cover 😡So he's coming back Monday&Tuesday to cut/buff detail the whole car exterior 😁 Not one of my finest moments 🤣

  7. Really depends on your preference for the look you want. These days you may be regulated to what you can find in stock.

I was lucky enough my buddy had some old ENKEI wheels "in stock" and I like the look. Years ago American Racing had something similar I had on a blue oval car. IMHO cragars never fail except on blue oval cars 🤣 I'm also a fan of the keystone klassics (still made)

Happy New Year to everyone.  May you all keep any resolutions you may set.  To that end, my resolution is to continue to be the catalyst for FGMCC’s “Coolest Club” designation as bestowed upon us at Carlisle 2023. It’s what I do.

Catalyst wasn't the first word that popped into my head 🤣 Especially since you showed up driving a blue oval vehicle 😮

Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays 🤘

I just ordered this 18 x 24 wiring diagram for $36, including shipping.  I love working from these really nicely laid out and colored diagrams.  It's an artform!!  I bought one for a 78 Triumph Spitfire that I picked up a few years ago and it's SOOOOOO valuable to have!

Just a 👍 for the product, Santa dropped one off for my imaginary 70 🤣 They didnt make one for my blue oval 🙃 but I have my 12 page factory schematic so its all good 🤘

@DragCatI've never seen one of the dash pots on a first gen Monte Carlo. Were they factory installed in some cases?

I can't answer that, only reason I remembered anything was a thread a long while back about them. From what I've read they are not reproduced.

  11. I think, someone will correct me if I'm wrong

Carburetor idle stop solenoids are used to reduce idle RPM to prevent engine run-on when ignition key is turned off. They also were used to increase idle RPM when the A/C was turned on to prevent stalling. Dash pots slowed the closure rate when throttle was released quickly.

Our Son Tom and his dog Lu-Lu joined us for our traditional Christmas Breakfast Casserole. LuLu wouldn't leave us alone so we told her to go get one of her gifts and open it up.

LuLu is a little over two years old and smart as a whip.  She disappeared from the dining room and headed to the living room.  Almost immediately we heard wrapping paper being shredded.  We hurried in to make sure she hadn't gone after someone else's gifts but NO only hers.

When I saw shoes in the vid I thought maybe Dennis was over 🤣
