I have the return less setup..... just because I’m lazy and it’s one less line to run. Picked up the tank as well....and it’s all sitting in storage until the weather gets warmer
Cool! So I have a question for you since you have the gas tank. Is the tank set up for a fuel return line? Or is that optional?

When you're doing these installations are you using fuel return lines? I'm going this route myself and was wondering which would be the best. I am also looking at going with the Holley gas tank for our cars as well.

I got a roll of air line from a member here but there was a kink in the middle of it so I couldn’t use it for the main line but I used it for years short lines and I bought an 18 ft roll off eBay for 10 bucks. I got factory gm fittings. 4 from a member, 4 from a dealer in northern Ohio and 3 from a lift company in Michigan. So I have 7 extra to keep “in stock “ ( forum joke lol) and they fit the new line just fine. But the proof of that will be when I pressurize the system.
Is there a GM part number for them? I'd like to locate some.

Where did you get your brass air line fittings that go into your leveling valve? I noticed that the stock fittings do not fit the old air lines.

Looks real nice. Did you have any issues getting the rear shocks in? I couldn't get mine on as they won't extend as far as needed. Mine are Monroe supposed to be a direct replacement.

Wow your car looks amazing (cool in the video too). 😎

Im happy with the current high and Im good with staying stock but these now on the car gotta go, to rusty pitted. Does any one offer a stock OEM style replacement that you can remove the ball joint easily and put in a moog/proforged?
I just ordered the proforged rebuild front end kit with drag link and idler etc. So now it down to control arms.
I see OEM replacements form Goodmark, RESTOPARTS, AUTO METAL DIRECT, DORMAN. All with cheapie ball joints it appears.
I too was looking for new control arms without ball joints and couldn't find any. You will need to drill out the rivets. It was a bear on the first one and by the second I had a handle on it and it came off pretty easy.

Good to know! What brand aftermarket stamped arms did you go with? Im reading that people are iffy about the ball joints the yare using RESTOPARTS OEM replacements and the SUMMIT tubular performance series as neither use MOOG ball joints that are better engineered and can save you from failure
I bought my stamped units from RPS https://restorationpartssource.com/store/about_rps.htm
It took over a month for them to ship out to me.. I called several times during that time following up as well. The units were nice. I ended up removing the ball joints and rubber bushings so I could have the control arms powder coated. I installed polyurethane bushings and also prefer to have the ability to unbolt the ball joints and replace if needed in the future. I also ended up using the stock cross shafts since the new were different (a nut rather than the factory bolt). See pics below one is the unit before I took it apart.

Gentlemen, I got the parts from Rock auto separately. The pistons were around $11 each and the seal kit was around $2-3 depending on the brand you choose.

I bought after market stamped control arms but removed the rubber bushings and installed polyurethane. But I'm trying to keep to the stock look.

If you want good front end handling I would go with polyurethane bushings. I just had my steering box rebuilt to a quick ratio unit from http://www.powersteering.com

How did you get the new bleeder caps to fit? I ordered a set from inline and they were way to big. I ended up using my original set.
Interesting.. I bought mine from Inline Tube as well. Do you know what size your bleeder screws are? I will say this, I bought a set of bleeder screws from Inline Tube and they were too small. Had they fit the bleeder caps wouldn't have fit either.

Nice job Ron!!!! What did you clear it with?
Actually after I got all of the rust off I sprayed them with ceramic cast iron color paint.

Great job! Looks fantastic! Is the piston new? Did you get a complete rebuild kit?
Yes I bought new pistons and the seal kit. It literally cost me like $13 per caliper for parts.

It sure looks like 3/8-24 to me with a 3/8 head on the screw. I couldn't find my pitch gauge though.
10-4. Thank you!

Hey guys what size is the front disc bleeder screw? I had ordered some and they are too small... Also does the SS have larger front calipers than a small block car?
Black strip below trunk?

Hey guys is the black strip just below the trunk on an SS just painted? Or is it a garnish piece?
