2 door 2014 CTS I witnessed their operation before they were pulled so I am pretty sure they work

thanks for looking for me, it’s the next project if I ever get it back from the painter lol, hum maybe he meant sept 29 2024 not 2023

First, please re-post the last 2 pics. I screwed up.

Next, I understand you saw them work, but to get the correct diagrams, we need to get the correct info. There are at least 7 different possible RPO codes associated with the power seats in a CTS, and different modules involved also.   Example, codes: A45, W2E,AH8,AL2,AQ9, KA1,KB6, all play a part in getting the right diagram. Did you see them work in the donor car itself?

Such things as memory, heated, cooled (just fans), lumbar, all make a difference.

  2. I'll look in Gm eSi to see if I can find some schematics. Give me a little time.

Do you know anything else about the donor seats? 2 or 4 door, etc?

Take pictures of all the switches, connectors and modules too. There are a LOT of things that'll come into play here.

If you know what car they came from, a pic of the RPO code tag would help, or a VIN from it, as I could look up the vehicle build sheet/options direct thru GM service info.

  4. Chicken French with Parsley potatoes & carrots.

I should put this in the FGMCC cookbook, it's one of my favorite meals!

All in honor of my new favorite Italian, St. Patrick 😁

     - dip the chicken in a seasoned flour, soak it in a mix of scrambled eggs, parm cheese, garlic, parsley, then pan fry it in olive oil/minced onion & garlic.

    - fresh squeeze 5 lemons, add a dash of white wine & about 3/4 stick of butter, put in frying pan on high heat to reduce it for a few minutes, then soak chicken in the mix, constantly turning over.

Potato's are loaded with onion, garlic, butter, parsley & some salt.

    Tasty!

Thanks Joe that is the picture I am looking for. I would have thought it was a little closer to the windshield trim

It will slide fore & aft a bit, but in my case that seems to be a good spot. As mentioned above,  too far forward would maybe stick out/up too much. I'm not sure how deep it goes in the rear 'Z' piece, but both sides of the car are setup the same distance from the W/S trim.

I always wondered why the lowers didn’t have the trim. They were clearly set up for it. Did GM reserve the lower trim for their more upscale lines (BOP)? Thanks for the info Joe, I think I’ll order a set from Ames, mine have lost some of their bling.

Here's the info I got from my original invoice Mark. Price was from 10-2019.

Part# Part Description Status Qty $ Each
    A132Z 68-72 CORRECT MOLDED SEAT PIPING OR 1 $89.00

A quick search & cut/paste found the link to their site for the piping:

    https://www.amesperf.com/parts/35140/

They also list a set with 'Caps', but no picture. I'm guessing it's the tips? Based on the construction of the molded trim piece in my car, I wouldn't have ordered that anyways. It seems to make a nice transition as-is & shown above.

    https://www.amesperf.com/parts/37007/

And finally, they do have a set for 'Chevelle', but it only has the two back pieces. For the 'low scale', Chevy cheapo cars :k (or GM 'crap-boxes' as Mark Worman would say...j/k, obviously)

  7. Here's what I put on my 72. The trim came from Ames Pontiac Performance. It was thicker and matched what was originally there.

Initially, I picked up a set from Legendary Interiors. It was too thin, so I replaced it with this. If someone wants it cheap though, I'll bring it to Carlisle.

The molded 'tips' on the seat where the silver trim seems to abut is just about the same size. I didn't have the end caps, nor did it come with the Legendary or Ames trim. I imagine I could use the Chrome Paint pen to coat the 'tips', but that's not even on the list of things to do right now.

  8. I thought you were talking about the halo trim, and how it sits across the front.

Here's mine. Can't go much more forward than that, or it'll be sticking out/up too much.

There's a natural bend/curve in the trim that matches the curve of the roof line too. It appears to sit just right on what I have.

I've seen that on bumpers that come out of the tanks. Try buffing it off.

Oh ok I got it now, the first pic is the inside I was thinking that was the outside and I'd be sending it back. I guess I should put my glasses on lol. Like Rob said maybe paint the inside to be safe. Outside looks great.

I must have misunderstood too. When my bumpers & some parts came out of the tank, there was a brownish residue on the outside surface. They simply used some type of polishing rouge and a big wheel & it shined right up (I was there when the owner did it).

The inside of yours looks like flakes of rust possibly?

hah yea I thought of that after I suggested it...   "hey  blake  ,step right up  be the canary...  whats that? $99.99   oh wait let me put my glasses on...What ?!?... there's a FOUR in front of that?   oops, I' ll  wait...

If you order it now, you may get it in time to put on the door prize table in Carlisle.

You could always have them drop ship it there too, I suppose 😁.

You can heat them a little bit to help with the bend. Over bend it a little so you have bounce back. A hair dryer or heat will get it done. Be careful not to overheat it.

That's what I did when I installed mine.
