  1. I opened my latest box from OPGI, usual product disappointments, but I'll make it work. Not all bad stuff but nothing ever seems to just plug in, lol. Finishing my complete interior restoration on my 70 SS. I bought this car from a collector who passed . He had done everything, engine, trans, complete body, exhaust ect. except the interior that was gutted. I thought it would be quick and easy but it's been a challenge to get it the way I want. I have way too many cars and trucks so my ADD does not help. I promise to post some pictures of "Oreo" someday soon. Peace.
  2. I've gone to Barrett Scottsdale for years. I can only remember a couple reserve cars that hit the block and they were very high end rare cars. I have a couple friends that have bought and sold on BaT that were satisfied with their purchase and sale. They offer both reserve and non reserve options. The cost of sale and the fact that the buyer is responsible for transport adds to the appeal. You rarely see a First Gen on BaT and this one photographs well which is their marketing strategy. Just my opinion. Peace.
  3. Looking at a Legendary catalog: 1970 deluxe style pairs, 1971-1972 standard style pairs. Both offered in four color codes.
  4. Do you have cloth or Vinyl? I recently did a complete interior on my 70 SS. I also used Legendary for my cloth interior, I concur, Legendary hands down.
  5. I ordered sets for my '70 Monte SS and my '70 Olds 442. Legendary sent the 442 in a matter of a couple weeks, The Monte was several months because I was told it was a special order fabric. They both fit perfect and I didn't have to pay an upholstery shop to sew.
  6. My '70 , which is an early car, came factory with black bucket seat cloth interior. I've used Legendary for my 442 and did so also with my Monte. The fit and finish was perfect, really pleased with the result as well as their headliner. They also sell the correct seat foam that has the correct seat height.
  7. Please correct the record, I've been a dues paying member for a number of years. TY
  8. Back in the early 90's my buddy and I learned of a defunct Chevrolet Dealer that had been in business from the late teens to 1973. The Grandson of the founder was cleaning out the old dealership building and we were among many that had the privilege of hunting through attics for old Chevrolet dealer memorabilia. I'm a Bow Tie guy from way back so I grabbed all I could carry, some of my most prized were the huge wall boards that showed all of the new years models. I have the 1970 Monte one and also the 1967 Camaro one amongst a number of others. I was able to purchase the entire collection of Chevrolet Communication kits from the 1930's to 1973. Most all have never been opened and there was one for each month of the production year. They included many trinkets and info sheets along with a record that worked with the film strip for training. The one that still makes me laugh is the salesman training series that shows "How to sell a 1957 Chevrolet" The filmstrips are true Bow Tie history.
  9. Thank you both Aaron and Thomas for your recommendations. I have used Legendary in the past so I will pursue them. Those seats in your picture look sharp. I have had this car under a cover for the past two plus years and I vow to get it completed , forgot how nice looking these cars are. Thank you again
  10. I purchased a 70SS from an estate that was restored except the interior. It was purchased new in Scottsdale AZ and has the protecto-plate and build sheet. I am in the process of redoing the interior and am looking for the original cloth fabric. I have been only able to find it at Year One but am skeptical on the quality. I would prefer to keep it original and it is a bucket seat car. Any suggestions based off of your experience would greatly be appreciated.
